Ash piles, weapons, and arrows oh my

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 6:12 pm

Everywhere an ash pile drops it stays and never fades away. Now I have noticed areas where I have killed random foes their weapons still lay where I killed them. Then they randomly float up in the air. Also arrows litter the ground everywhere. The weapons and arrows also seem to not fade away its been several months I have been to and from these areas.

These are some of the most annoying bugs I have encounter. The ash pile thing has irritated me since Fallout 3. I hope Bethesda does something about this. I am on the 360 if that helps.

Why is this an issue to you? It's all you seem to post about and it's in your sig even.

Ash piles vanish for me, and even if they didn't I wouldn't care. I like when dead bodies stick around.

It has caused my game to crash. I know it is in my signature, I want the problem fixed its an annoying bug that causes slow down. The dead bodies sticking around would bother me too. I am glad your ash piles disappear but mine and a few others do not.

I have few problems with this game two of them is irritating the ash piles, now added with weapons and arrows. Which you overlooked by the way and spell creation. It you have read a lot of my post I am very positive unless its about the magic system.

Not a full solution, per-se, but if you pick up the weapons/arrows and sell them to a vendor, they will eventually be cycled out of said vendor's inventory.

There's probably a mod for that.

In areas where my necromancer has ash piles littering the ground everywhere the game slows stutters and locks up. Is it not a perfectly reasonable assumption that the ash piles are to blame?

I guess but I feel like this whole thing is a joke. Stop making ash piles?

That is what I have been doing to resolve that issue but for now I am combing the land searching for the random weapons on the ground.

No I am not joking at all I am serious. This problem has persisted since Fallout 3 the ash piles did the same thing in that game and caused crashes for me on that. It was the number one reason I did not use energy weapons and I loved energy weapons.

Now the issue is in Skyrim in TES my favorite game series. If they cannot fix an issue such as an ash pile they should remove it and just have zombies drop over. They could also have the wisp mothers just fade away.

Another reason I say remove them if they cannot fix them is that in Oblivion the ectoplasm faded out and in Skyrim and Fallout 3 and NV the problem just continues its very irritating. Now in Skyrim I avoid necromancers and playing as one. I also comb the land for the weapons and arrows left behind and sell those so there will be no issue with freezing and corrupted files.

The ash/goo pile problem has been persistent on all releases since F3 onward, and Bethesda could never have been bothered to fix it. So far, it has always been left to the modding community to fix this bug and the resulting lag/CTDs from accumulating piles. So, I wouldn't hold my breath for an official patch.

I have to because right now I do not have a gaming PC. That is why I am trying to push the issue. When I do get a good PC this will be one of the first things I mod to either fix or remove.
