So I had an eventful time trying to get from Riverwood to the town at the bottom of High Hrothgar.

I was walking along, minding my own business, killing the odd wolf or elk, when I see 3 Imperial soldiers dead and 3 Stormcloak soldiers standing over them. I killed the Stormcloak soldiers, thinking it would be no big deal.

A little bit later, the road cut off to this place called Orphan's Rock. I saved and then walked towards the rock. Out of nowhere there's 4 witches shooting spells of every kind at me. I barely killed them, then got a fireball to the face from a Hagraven(sp?).

I reloaded the save and didn't cut off towards Orphan's Rock. I went just a little ways and saw an elk. I went to shoot at it and heard an arrow go by me, so I turned around and there are EIGHT Stormcloak soldiers running at me. Apparently they didn't like me killed their 3 buddies. I didn't last too long.

I'm about to reload the save again, lets see how this goes. O.O

I saw this coming right when i saw the title....

Pfft, that's not madness, thats blasphemy.

It took me forever to find that path from Riverwood to Ivarsgread. For the longest time, I was taking the route from Whiterun, halfway to Riften, and then turn back to Ivarsgread.
