I just started a new character and I'm loving the fur armor. I'm RPing a barbarian/bandit character and want to keep using fur armor, but my question is, where the hell can i get a fur helmet???

I know they exist, the Guide and wiki confirm this and I've seen images. I cannot find one at all. I have a level 81 Nord which I am taking a break from, and on that game I have never ever through my entire playthrough seen a fur helmet, and on that character I have gone almost everywhere. So wtf, does anyone know where the greatest chance of me finding a fur helmet is?

I've found a few of them. Never looted them off dead enemies, but found them on tables in Bandit Forts I had a character wearing fur too, best looking leather imo, but I didn't wear the fur helmets, didn't like the look. They are hard to spot and are easily confused for other more worthless wooden/brown items.

Ok thanks. I'll check tables and stuff. I just want to 1. find one, and 2. see if it looks good so i can keep wearing fur, therefore making the matched set ect perks viable.

why not craft one yourself?

Stormcloak officer helmet (bears head)>Fur Helmet. I have a fur trapper build that rocks fur as well, and that's what I use since its bad ass. Also, the Saviours Hide is awesome for that same look.

As far as I can tell you can't craft Fur at all. Just Hide and Leather items. Fur was somehow excluded, to my hunter's misery. He had to steal them to use em.

Yeah, you cant and it stinks.

I have found them, even enchanted ones. I usually get them off of bandits in caves, ruins or forts. Try there.

If you like Fur mate, go and nab Saviour's Hide. Talk to the man in Falkreath Jail, I won't say any more...
