I was curious, not that it affects me, but, is there a switch in the console so that the hearing impaired can read NPC text since they cannot hear it?

In the games options screen there are two subtitle options for the hard of hearing :foodndrink:

if you go under menu and I think its either under gameplay or display there is a box that says subtitles check that

That option should be under the Display or Gameplay settings in game

Yeah, you can turn on the subtitles in the gameplay options. Pain in the ass to read if you don't have a hdtv, for the ps3.
