This debacle has definitely tarnished their not so sterling reputation. After 5 years of experience developing for the ps3, they would've figured out how to program for it by now.

By the time the next game comes out, most issues with this one will be worked out, and the sales will be very similar to other games in said game's franchise (i.e. the next Falout will be like Fallout 3 or NV, and the next Elder Scrolls will be like Oblivion or Skyrim). Regardless with how many bugs their games have (and they always have them, all their games are crazy buggy when they're released, even the very first Elder Scrolls had its issues), they always manage to sell big, and thats because we, the players, enjoy them emensely, even with the bugs.

Actually I doubt it will. People are lemmings and very few will actually not buy a new release based on a previous bad experience. Memories are short and they'll be drug into the "this is a new game, with a new engine, etc." and they'll buy it.

Even in this situation they would buy BUT these people are going where the river goes, the bad is that there are some die-hard bethesda fans that they turn their back on Bethesda and stop following the company, that would cost double than every of this new buyer who just bought Skyrim or Rage, fans have bought all Elder Scrolls without them Beth will have problems and they have no trust or faith any more after all this disaster, and it will lose more if there will be no fix at last

I don't think this game carries any weight at all with whatever sequel Bethesda will release. It will be a completely new game, obviously, and some sequels surpass their predecessors. No point in judging now when it's what? Five + years away.
