Skyrim PS3 : V

Hi all,

I'm getting Skyrim for the PS3 for Christmas, but from what I've heard there seems to be a lot of issues. Is it worth getting or a waste of time?

Get it. I have it on the ps3 and it looks great. A tiny bit of lag rarely and I've had one freeze, but other than that I haven't had problems

Your best bet is to check out the tech support forums.

By all accounts many PS3 users are having a hard time with it but there are also those saying that they are not having these issues and can play the game fine.

My savefile is 17mb and it lags like hell. A recent patch they brought out also lowered the graphics. It's great till you get a high savefile. My advice would be to get it for Xbox or PC. If you only have a PS3 then I would still get it but be wary.

Well here's hoping. This will be my first TES game so really looking forward to it. Coming here from many years playing COD, so should be an interesting change.

Stay far away from the PS3 version. I'm 138 hours in with a 14 MB save file and LAG will deflate you.

If you only have PS3 as an option to buy it for, then yes you should buy it. If you can buy it for PC however, I would recommend that instead. It seems like all games are better on PC. :sadvaultboy:
Warnings: It will lag, it will crash. But nothing a simple restart can't fix.

No way will I be getting another Xbox after all the issues I've had with that console. And unfortunately my PC is on its way out, so stuck with the PS3 I'm afraid.
