I know what the 'arrow to the knee' is a reference from

The other day I was reading Queen of Serpents (Book 2 of the Belgariad by David Eddings) :read:
about half way through a baron says 'its true I used to be a hothead, but I took an arrow to the knee'
I believe the guards saying 'I used to be an adventurer like you but I took an arrow to the knee'
Is a reference to this fairly influential novel (e.g. In the Belgariad and Mallorean there is a god
called Mara, and these books were written long be for T.E.S)

Vectar :deal:

These books take a LOT of artistic design from Eddings and E. Feist

The guard says "IN the knee" not "TO the knee"

and that's prolly just to change it JUST enough to prevent copywrite :intergalactic:

It was actually a reference to the current internet meme that Todd Howard saw in the future from their infinite space-time wormhole. They also used it to make a great game before they made it, resulting in the best game that was never finished.

Not really. You can't claim copyright on a statement as general as this.
