According to the guide book, there are only three fletchers in all of Skyrim. The first is in Whiterun, but he died a while back when he inexplicably attacked me when I walked into his shop for no reason (found out this is a problem for ppl). I didn't want to kill him because I considered him a friend and needed his business, so I ran out of the shop. Unfortunately, he ran out after me and was promptly shot to death by Whiterun guards, who affectionately know me now as Stormblade. The second fletcher is at the top of the stairs in Solitude, but he was killed during the Stormcloak siege of Solitude during the Civil War (okay, I killed him when I ran into his shop trying to escape death. He attacked me and I killed him before I knew who he was). Both of the first two fletcher's businesses are now permanently closed, though for some inexplicable reason the usual customers keep hanging out in there, lol.
The third and final fletcher (Synden?) is located in Riften, but apparently you have to be a member of the Thieves' Guild to do business with him down at the Ragged Flagon. My character is a good person and proud of what she has done for Ulfric and doesn't want to join the guild just to get arrows, so unless I break my roleplaying mantra I am stuck without a way to buy, or make arrows. Why, oh why, Bethesda, can't arrows be made at the forge or worktable?
I realize that a handful of arrows can be had at some smiths, but they are usually just steel or nordic arrows, and I was enjoying the glass and ebony arrows which do so much more damage. I've heard that someone will probably include arrowcrafting in a mod, but I don't want to wait - I'm enjoying playing right now over the holidays!
Not sure if this is a post with a question or just a concern, but any advice, tips, suggestions (besides telling me to load a save from 10 levels ago) would be appreciated. Thanks!
