A Letter to Fellow Necromancers

To all:

I have sent for this courier to share my investigation of random villager deaths within villages with all known Necromencers within Skyrim. On the day of Morning Star, I withness one of my favorite trading partners being attacked by Bandits, as much as I would love for this Blacksmith to be my subject, and if it weren't for my reluctant assistance, I am sure she will became one of my many subjects of the dark art.

Though the death was troubling at first I found out about this but became more amusing as I am more into my investigation. Through my travels from Riften to Whiterum, It became more evident that these seemingly random attacks within villages are not random at all, but had something to with the practice of our dark art when using "Dead Thrall". When subject of Death Thrall was not properly disposed of after they've exhausted their usefullness and fellow Necromencers did not follow the code of conduct by giving "the vehicle" (their soulless body) a proper barrial, by turning them into ashes. Not only any evidents of our practice became gossip among villagers, but more troublingly, due to the glitches that our gods had bestowed on us in this universe. Soulless subject of "Death Thrall" will became a new vehicle, after certain calendar days, for one of many lost souls that roams Skyrim and will be reanimated and continue to do their deeds. If such subject is simply left within a village or inside that one poor store. They will begin to attack anything in sight.

Therefore, you have been warned. Please follow the proper code of vehicle disposal to prevent this from happening or risk one of your favorite subjects, which you've been saving for your violation and amusemant, to be wasted.

Thank you. I hope to see you all in our next gathering as usual. Fellow Necromencers that do not bring a willing subject will be turned away from the gathering, and please DO NOT show up dressing up as one of the guards if you don't want what happened to Ka'Gi Yogi last time happen to you.

Lima

P.S. consider this courier I sent for as a gift.

If you leave an intact formerly-thralled corpse laying around, you may come back to find it alive and hostile.

.

That's crazy. Anyway, I wish Necromancy was its own skill with Necromancy-type Perks. Seems like two different types of magic to me; conjuring allies out of the planes of Oblivion and raising the dead from fallen Tamrielic corpses. It would be a more efficient use of Perks if I could focus solely on a Necromancy tree, IMO. I also wish they had their own Guild and quests (there's a Bards College after all) with various types of Necromancer clothing with various enchantments focusing on Necromancy. I don't know, like the Black Gloves of Necromancy which give any dead you raise +100 health or something along those lines. It would be really awesome if you could eventually get one of those underground caverns as an abode. I'm sure there is/will be mods that will make Necromancy in Skyrim more fun, but sadly, I am on console right now. I'll need a new PC to be able to run Skyrim.
