Archery Kill Cams should be Implemented like this

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 1:56 am

Only Mid to Long Shots should activate with longer shots and always activate on very long shots. They should happen more often and never happen on very close shots.

I agree!
Too many times they never work for me, and I miss watching a longe range kill.

The very few times they have happened have been at short range, so I just see the enemy dying..
I doubt they'll change this.

Long range shots gives the game longer for the target to move and make you miss the shot.
Or at least that's how it seems to me, my long range kill cams are the least accurate.

I really just hope they fix them in general, on my latest character I had to avoid the final archery perk
because of how paralysis messes up the kill cams.

What is annoying is on rare occasion the Killcam will cause my arrow to malfunction and the enemy will be perfectly okay or the arrow won't shoot. Then the enemy generally starts baring down on me. I think that should be tweaked a bit.

Good idea OP.

I think misfire killcams are awesome. It should work in others too. Knowing a kill is coming when switched to a killcam is boring but if the outcome was not certain, then it would be much more exciting. Basically, I want block/evade cams.

¨How exactly does a kill cam trigger? Seems sort of random to me.

"Archery kill cams should be implemented with a toggle"

so I can turn them off.

Yeah, I don't like the ones where I don't get to see the impact of the arrow because it is too short of range.

I love those. I occasionally use a bow for an "execution" shot on a yielding character. The bow is literally in their face, and then the kill cam triggers makes it look particularly great.

I quite like the misfire aspect, it adds a certain je ne sais quoi to the whole experience, which is all good fun really. I mean just because you hit someone/thing with an arrow, it doesn't mean that you kill 'em...
