Conjured weapons - advantages and why use them

I am a bit confused as to how conjured weapons work and if they are useful or not.

I have a Breton witch who I am considering to get to use conjured weapons over forsworn weapons and destruction magic.

1. Are Conjured weapons any good. What are their stats compared to non-conjured weapons.

2. What is their advantage over a non-conjured weapon.

3. Does a magic user using one have to be levelled / perked up that particular weapon. skills

If I was to make a warrior, I cannot see why they'd bother with conjured weapons or wasting perk points on conjurations

If I made magic user then why would they use conjured weapons over destruction magic if they have to waste perk points on both conjuration and melee skills trees?

Bretons are obviously the experts on Conjuration so it seems logical that they would benefit a Breton the most. Is this the case?
