Ok, so it seems that Bethesda and Zenimax don't want people in rural areas like mine to play Skyrim because many don't have internet connections at home. So I would like to know if there is a chance that they will release a non-Steam version of Skyrim for PC a couple years down the line when everyone has already played it. I guess getting to play it in 2013 will be better than not ever playing it at all.
PS, I don't have or want an Xbox 360 or PS3, so no I am not buying either just for Skyrim.

You don't have ANY internet connection?

No dial up? No cell phone with a hotspot feature? Nothing?

The reason I ask because you don't have to be online all the time to play Steam games.

Buy the retail version and install. All you have to do is be online to unlock the game. Then you can go into off-line mode and play off-line.

I think you might have to log bakc in every month or so, but it's definitely doable on dial-up.

You need a one time internet access to activate Skyrim. After that you can go live on the North Pole for the rest of your life.
