So, i'm not going to the midnighy release, but I pre ordered my copy forever ago. I still have the reciept, Butm I heard that if enough people show up to the midnight release, GameStop can give away my copy to someone else who pre ordered it, just because they got there first.

No. They will hold your copy for three days. If you don't pick it up or call them to let them know that you won't be able to pick it up for another day or two, then they reserve the right to sell it to someone else.

They're not supposed to, but they can, especially if you don't grab it on release day.

Main reason they even preorder is so they get x+preorder number of games. If you go to the midnight release and they sold all x games you just get a "sorry out of non preordered games". So your all good if you preordered already as long as you get it in 2-3 days.

Nope. Not true at all. If someone didn't pre order and they are at midnight release they risk the chance of not getting a copy because they run out. However, I am sure there are plenty in storage.
