Skyrim Pregame Checklist

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 12:22 pm

1. Get A Working Functioning Xbox Or PS3 Remote You Don't Want To Break Down Mid Game (A Spare Pack Of Batteries Wont Fall Short, Trust Me.

2. Make Sure You Have A HDMI Cable Not A Component Cable (You Want The Best Quality And A Component Cable Is Only 720P While A HDMI Is 1080P So Make Sure You Got A Big HDTV As Well)

3. Make Sure In Your Room Or "Playroom/Living Room" Make Sure You Have A Good Supply Of Food Water And Bog-roll Just In Case :)

4. Get A Working Xbox Or PSN Account All Up To Highest Possible Payment e.g Xbox Live Gold, And Money In Your PSN Account Wallet Or Microsoft Points Just In Case Of Any DLC You Wnat To Get I Usally Get 1200, Your Choice.

5. Finally Make Sure You Enjoy The Game And Try Not To Rush When the Games Over You'll Miss It. Enjoy See You In SKYRIM!

Let me guess: You're not a PC player.

I have a different list:

1. Dump the wife/girlfriend.
2. Bring any kids to an asylum for a month or so. Pay in advance.
3. Make sure you have a lot of food and drink in the house.
4. Make sure you are well rested so you can afford to game for 48 hours after release.
5. If you're paranoid, get a backup generator so you won't be without electricity.
6. Turn off any telephones in your home.

A couple additions/modifications I have to add to the OPs list.
1) Or keyboard/mouse
2) DVI for me. (Also component is fully capable of transmitting 1080p for games, even though neither of the consoles will render the game 1080p. It will be 720p or below and just upscale to 1080) Also depending on how close you sit, a large TV could make the the image worse, since the pixels are spread out more on a larger screen.

I personally will be playing at 5760x1080.

I have called off of work. I am skipping classes. I am forgoing my regular training, I am even telling my friends to not call me, and have told most people to expect to not see me for weeks. I have bought pounds of ramen, tons of pancakes, and gallons of mead. I have not shaved (it's' november), and I have not cut my hair since Skyrim was announced. I smell of viking, and my dragonblood has warmed me for this coming winter. The excitement, I would say, is getting to me a little.

....and I Fus Roh Dah'd my dog the other day. It worked. She's at the vet.

1) Replace your computer chair with a toilet. You don't want downtime.
2) Have some tape on a roll next to your computer screen, you want to be able to tape your eyes open on the 3rd or 4th night of consecutive play.
3) Recite the walkthrough from memory, perhaps using the pages to plaster the wall behind your computer so the information is always right there.
4) Hook up an IV drip to your arm, full of Red Bull and Monster Energy.
5) Phone your boss and friends pretending to be your twin brother, saying that you died in a fishing accident. You don't want people calling you.
6) Black out all your windows with pieces of wood. You don't want screen glare.

Wouldn't it just be safer to use that white powder like substance.

I took my wife's Gears of War 3 controller and have been saving it just for Skyrim. Food and Drinks have been stored for weeks in a cabinet right next to my gaming.

Curtains shut, blinds shut, lights off, door closed, headphones on, and it's Skyrim time! Also, gratuitous use of commas in this statement.

Could slave the wife/girlfriend/kids into playing Skyrim.

They'd enjoy it.
