Dioes Skyrim solve Oblivion's "leveling problem"?

Is the attribute advancement system similar to Oblivion's, requiring close monitoring of skill advancement in order to concentrate attribute bonuses to core majors, or have they revamped the skill system altogether?

Ah, excellent. How, then, will perks be obtained?

You get to pick a perk any time you level up. They are in branching 'skill-trees.'

No levelling system is perfect. It trades one set of problems for a new set - but overall the new setup is MUCH more to my liking

It's sort've a hybrid between AF's Levelling Mod in Oblivion, and Fallout's levelling system. Actions determine what skills rise and you level when a certain amount of skills are gained (Like AF's mod), but you get to pick perks when you level up that use skills as pre-requisites (like Fallout 3)

Bloody good job too, never liked Oblivion's system, far too complicated.

I think I'll like this levelling system a lot, but am a bit sad about the removal of Attributes. The system didn't really work well, but it did allow for greater character customization.

The Oblivion system was complex and flawed, but part of me will miss the depth and intricacy :-)
