Undeads

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 1:13 pm

I was really pleased when I saw screenshots of Draugrs. (http://images.uesp.net/1/17/SR-DraugrCatacombs_wLegal.jpghttp://images.uesp.net/1/1c/SR-DraugrFort2_wLegal.jpg)
They are well made undeads and so I thought it would be a quite epic to see only draugrs and ghosts in tombs. Now the feeling has been spoiled because silly looking skeletons are back here. (http://images.uesp.net/3/34/SR-Skeleton_Prerelease.jpg)
Anyone else having same kind of thoughts?

I think the skeletons would look a lot better without the glowing blue eyes. They should've left that just to the Draugr.

Honestly though.. I think I prefer Oblivion's zombies and Morrowind's bonewalkers to both. They seemed more horrific somehow, and not so cartoony.

If you saw [i]Army of Darkness[\i] then you would understand what the allure is for those kind of skeletons. Also, that movie is based on a true story.

That's true. Even the color is blue the eyes still strongly remains me about Terminator.

I love how they look, what I'm wondering is if we have Zombies? I HATED the look of zombies in Oblivion, they honestly weren't that great, especially the hair. They might as well just have left it out. If they are in Skyrim I hope they look good. If not..... :sadvaultboy:

I'm hoping we can summon skeletons again. One of the coolest things I ever did in Oblivion was when I was bringing other skills up by fighting my own skeletons. My Conjuration skill went up so high that my skeletons actually got too powerful to kill with the greatsword I was trying to level up.

Those Bonewalkers were pretty awesome. Even if they wera kind of Zombie like.
But just a regular Zombie....I have been zombied to death. I thought dead island was going to be good? It's ALL zombies! Well, I'll never play that game.

I'll take a thousand skeletons over a zombie any day. Why? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yYeZMx1Y7U

EDIT : @ Xerxan - Why would you be against variety? The more the better. I would still take 1000 to 1, skeletons over ZOMBIES!

Lucky for you. For me they are not looking so good - they are well made skeletons, but not well made undeads. I'll rather see several different variations of draugrs so there would be feeling like everyone of them really were individual people when they lived.

God bless, Ray Harryhausen. I can't help but feel like I'm right there every time i'm surrounded by boners.

Wait...that didn't come out right.

Is it just me or do the blue glowing eye skeletons look alot like terminators. One mocks terminators at their own peril.
