My laptops specs are
i7 2.0GHz (2.9 boost). It's 8 cores each running at 2.0GHz.
6GB RAM. Has never been an issue really.
Intel HD Graphics 3000.
Screen is 1600 x 900, so not full HD. (Might output to a flat screen TV though xD ).
From what I've read, Intel Graphics is supposed to be awful. Like, can't even run games from 3-4 years ago awful.
I've also read that Intel Graphics performance is tied into Processor power. I've done some reading, and it seems like the Graphics is integrated and spread out through the processors somehow. It's SUPPOSED to be better. Not sure if it is.
Given this information, I would think that I can't run Skyrim, at least not on very high settings. I'm new to PC gaming, I'm trying to learn as much as possible as fast as possible about it. I know that my processor is good, but is it GOOD in terms of gaming?
Also, I have played Assassin's Creed brotherhood, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Oblivion. Oblivion I can run on max settings and my processor only hits about 20-25%.
I've also read that Intel is just awful at supporting things, by like issuing updates and whatnot.
So my question is, will my laptop just say that my Graphics card is unsupported or throw out some error like that? And if not, how well should it be able to run Skyrim?
Thanks for any help and sorry if this is considered spam, I couldn't find any definitive answers by searching and I keep finding contradictions.
