Moving objects...

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 3:22 pm

Sorry if this was asked before, but I just got the game for PS3 (live in europe), and there is no way I can move/hold objects.

I thought that it was confirmed that this was in? Or am I overlooking something?

Thanks in advance.

It's in the game. I saw some footage of a book being picked up in an interview with todd howard. It was actually SUPER detailed, when he picked up the book by the front cover the book opened up and all of the pages fanned out. Super realistic!!!

Wasn't it a click (R3/L3) of the sticks to manipulate objects before?

*sigh* Pete has answered this several times. You hold down the "pick up" button.
(XBOX - Hold A)
(PS3 - Hold X)
(PC - Hold Space)I think it would be space...I'm not sure...

Yes, it was. Now, you hold down the button with the "activate" function mapped to it.

Edit: Damn Ninjas.

It's the same button for picking objects up, you just have to hold it.

Well that is just [censored]... you have to hold a button that is used by the thumbs? How are you suppose to look around and move around at the same time with the object? Or is it Hold X then release?

Fo3 grab was a toggle so I'm guessing they kept that feature going into Skyrim. Thankfully PC will have it mapped to a separate key because even with a toggle many things are going to be accidentally picked up while trying to arrange clutter. Sorry consolers, I hope they add another 2-6 buttons on the next gen, seriously.

Yeah it's a toggle like in FO3 (except without its own unique key): You'll just have to hold the button for a second or so, then you can drag it around without holding the key any longer.
