iGN Live Stream of Skyrim (Noon PST on Nov. 10)

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 8:49 am

IGN will be doing a live stream show of gameplay and answering Twitter questions tomorrow (Thursday, Nov. 10). The show begins 12:00 PM PST.

(A previous topic for this was made, but was locked because of excessive trolling. Let's not do that again.)

What questions might we want to tweet at them? If multiple people are tweeting the same questions, we should get answers. Also, I'll try to do this, but if they start revealing spoilers, let's try to let people know here; of course, no spoilers allowed here in General Discussion, so let's keep that in mind.

I would rather wait a day and just play the game to be honest. :dmc:

I actually agree with you... right now. Who knows what I will be thinking at 2pm local time tomorrow.... I thought I'd let people know though, in case they are interested.

Don't use IGN's live stream, support indy streamers and wait till the 11th like everyone else is being forced to do. The last thing IGN needs is help with marketing.

I'll probably watch a little bit of this 12 hour marathon of Greg Kasavin over at http://www.giantbomb.com/news/12-hours-of-skyrim-12-hours-of-greg-kasavin-this-thursday/3798/.

If it was a game like BF3 of MW3 were the story meant 0 and nothing would be spoiled I'd be all over that stream but a game like Skyrim almost every minute something will get spoiled. I want my play through will be fresh. :)

I like IGN mostly, not the least of all for obeying embargoes and whatnot. Their live stream doesn't just help them, it helps Beth sell more copies, and we get to see the stream done professionally. When everybody wins like that, I really don't understand why anybody begrudges what IGN is doing. To each his own, I guess.

Why on earth would anyone want to watch a live stream of Skyrim when they could pick it up and play it at the time of the streaming?

IGN is ridiculous.

Bethesda will be closing down live streams even after the 11th because they sold the rights to IGN. It's a giant screw you to the streamers who are trying to make a career out of professional gaming, and for what? So an already rich company like IGN can make more money? It's not right.

@Dragon Born: 12 PM on Nov. 10. Most people will not have it by then.

What exactly is your source for this streaming exclusivity deal between IGN and Beth? I'm all ears.... And IGN, rich? That's preposterous; if you ever find a picture of an IGN editor driving in a car of their own that cost them more than $35k while they are working at IGN, I'll eat my iPad.

I'm not trying to be rude, but some people are seriously paranoid, not to mention completely divorced from reality.

And what do 98% of "independant streamers" want most from doing what they do?! To get a job at a place like IGN!!!! Nobody builds a retirement from covering games as an independant journalist or blogger. NOBODY! They do what they do because it looks good on a résumé, and gets them by until they get their foot in the door.

Edit: and yes PST is west coast time.
