Question on PYFFI and repack .bsa files ( no compressed) on

Hi, I would like know if last PYFFI (for meshes) and repack .bsa files to decompressed .bsa files give us more FPS on Skyrim. Thx for this awesome game!

anyone know if .ini file is already for customizing memory performance and multithreaded options? and .exe file supporting 4gb?

It was confirmed that the EXE is 32-bit and was not compiled LAA. Also no one knows (or isn't saying) if the BSAs will be using the same algorithm as previous; we may need to wait for an unpacker. Hope not though.

Ahh ok, then I can't unpack .bsa files with oblivion tool and repack them decompressed? Thx for reply

Several people have tried, but (at least with preloads) it can't be verified until after Steam decrypts the files. Fallout tools will probably be a better place to start than the Oblivion tools, in general (such as with BSA decompression). Good question though. I wasn't even thinking about whether they'd modified or improved the NIF format until you posted.

OK, i will try unpack .bsa files with fo3 tool on release date and see what happen. Thx again.

mmm, then first basic tips for fps boost on skyrim after install are:

1- try unpack .bsa files and repack them in .bsa files decompressed (if we can with fo3 or oblivion tool or wait for skyrim tool).

2- Modify .ini config file to your choice based on your pc spec.

3- Modify .exe file for support 4gb LAA (with CFF explorer or 4gb patch). - I THINK THIS OPTION WILL BE VERY IMPORTANT

4- defrag your hard drive.
