Dragon and Daedra

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 9:23 am

I was watching the trailer again today because it makes me squee. I don't know a ton of TES lore so I was curious to whether Daedra or Dragons were stronger.

I'm assuming a normal dragon could easily beat a normal Daedra.
Could I normal dragon beat a Daedric Prince? If not a normal dragon then how about a named dragon, excluding Alduin of course?

I was just wondering which would be more feared in the world and more powerful. Is the return of the dragons not as bad or worse than the gates of oblivion opening?

Dragons are Aedra. Aedra and Daedra are the same thing. Except Aedra helped create the world, and lost much power for it.

Daedra never lost their power.

So one isn't really strong than the other? They are just two sides of the same coin, Aedra and Daedra.
I guess that makes sense and it just falls on the Tamriel citizens to decide whats worse being attacked by dragons or Daedra.

No, Daedra are stronger.

They are just two sides of the same coin, Aedra and Daedra.
They're not opposites or anything, if that's what you're implying.

I'd rather deal with dragons. Daedra (especially Mehrune's lackeys) seem to enjoy torturing mortals, while a dragon would simply eat you and be on it's way.

Oh well you said Daedra and Aedra were the same thing, except Aedra helped create the world. So I just assumed they were the "two sides of the same coin."

But if Daedra are stronger doesn't that mean that this game isn't as scary, for Tamriel, as the last one?

Well, yeah, I'd rather deal with anything other than the Daedric Prince of Destruction.

We're still dealing with an Aedra and his lackies trying to devour the world. I also doubt the Daedra care much about what happens to people in Tamriel, so I doubt they'd help.

Uhh, no. This time, instead of Mehrunes trying to kill (or enslave or whatever) everyone, you've got Alduin trying to "eat" the world. Just as much death.

Well, yeah, I'd rather deal with anything other than the Daedric Prince of Destruction.

Yeah, lucky we had Martin deal with him for us. :stare:

End of the world is pretty scary any way you look at it

There's at least three daedra who are technically good, and I'm sure they care a good deal. They just don't have much authority. And by technically "good," I mean they include the prince of assassination.
