I'm pre-loading at the moment, but only getting about 520 kb/s - MAX
Other times it drops down to 256 kb/s or so.

When I dled the preload yesterday it was about 2.5 mb in avg.

merely around 350 for me already finished.

Only 200 for me, but that's my DSL Internet max. I live in a second world country, so I'm happy I got it this fast.

I think yesterday I was preloading at 3.8 MB/s. The highest I've ever seen Steam go is 6.4 MB/s.

2.2MB/s currently. 2.5MB/s was the peak rate. 8 minutes left. Too bad it's not 8 minutes to play though.

It started out slow though. 2xxkb/s.

Mine said the Peak was 1.5mb/sec but I was also browsing the internet at the same time. Generally its always between 1 and 3 mb/sec. Took about an hour total time.

For me Steam has always the full speed ot my connection. Only on big Sales like XMAS it is going down.

I got around 1.5-2mb/s download on average yesterday. If the game isn't in high demand I usually get 3-4mb/s download speeds.

I'm guessing either Portugal, Italy, Greece or Spain.

In Portugal I usually get about 3.5 MB/s from steam.

I will get mine tomorrow. I have to go get a pre-paid card. I don't dare use my debt card for anything online anymore.

Did you try changing your region? I usually go with Japan or korea on new releases.

Mine keeps jumping all over from 2.3 MB up to 6.3 MB. Seems to average around 5.4 MB

Currently getting 1.7 MB/S, whereas I normally get 2.5 off Steam.

When I went to download Morrowind it said "Estimated time: 3 days"

I gotta cap my internet, seeing as I get a 60GB a month limit. And I have room mates. Sooo I'm running at 120KB/s average at the moment. Steam says it should be done in 5-6 hours, but that doesn't sound right...I'm crappy at maths..

Steam always confuses me slightly because it gives the download rate in KB/s rather than kbps, I always think it should be going faster until I remember to multiply the displayed rate by 8 to get kbps.
