Hello Skyrim Forums!

I remember back at the video game awards, I was watching to see an announcement for a new game besides Skyrim. I loved Elder Scrolls but I had not gone to the extent to know who the employees were and had no Idea about Skyrim, though I had hoped for a new elder scrolls game soon. Upon seeing who I now know to be THE Todd Howard walk out to the stage with the music playing in the background with the epic mountains I turned to my friend:

"Oh god another WOW:cataclysm trailer".... oh little did I know my mistake

the man on screen was introduced as Todd Howard, lead developer of Bethesda game studios.

"Wait... Blizzard makes WOW... Bethesda... makes.... 0_0"

No one wanted to beleive.... beleive they even existed....



When the truth finally dawns... it dawns in fire!

Skyrim.... it had been announced

I turned to my friend:

"Wow? WOW? Its not wow its f***ing ELDER SCROLLS and it has f***ing DRAGONS"

Triumphant shout!

10 minutes later I had joined the forums and the facebook page in order to get the latest info on anything about the game. I have been here every day since. I have learned from the community, received my fabled fishy stick, learned the secrets of making the best of Oblivion, discovered the previous 3 Elder Scrolls games before it (which I absolutely love), gotten into modding for oblivion, been caught up in the werewolf craze... and generally had a great experience with these forums.

I want to say 2 things to you:

Thank you, and goodbye my friends...

For the greatest game of all time is upon our doorsteps, all we have to do now is be patient. Tomorrow at midnight our lives change for better or worse. Some of us will lose ourselves completely to the game. Others have moved on in life. There will be some who struggle through those last painful hours of work, knowing the game is out and they are missing the fun.

This will be my final post on these forums for a VERY long time, judging Skyrim's size so far. My first playthrough will be completely legit, no hints or spoilers or walthroughs... just whatever may happen in the game will happen.


So with this final post I thank you my friends, we have a long journey yet ahead of us. Maybe our paths shall cross again down the way, and we may share our great experiences. I will return upon the release of the game of the year edition for pc, as I want to wait for the official DLC to be finished before I begin modding.

Goodbye, and let your journeys be long and full of excitement,
