steam preload question

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 8:33 am

i thought the game size was 6gb, but the preload was 5.8gb or something. was the 6gb just rounding up, or is there 200mb to come on launch night? if the latter isnt that going to CRAWL, surely?

5.58GB on my Windows 7 computer

With the other preloads that I've been involved in, they only need to usually send the executable which is usually quite tiny in (some like 4MB or 15mb etc) comparison with things like the art assets, and then Steam unencrypts the files we already have and away we go to play.

Downloaded from Direct2Drive and mine is only 5.1 gig in size. So, I was kinda wondering the same thing my self. If i was to round that off it would be 5 gig not 6 gig.
