EB Games already selling Skyrim?

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 7:51 am

So I pre-ordered Skyrim from my local EB Games a while ago and I just got a text message from them a few minutes ago saying it was available now. I live in Australia so I know we get the game earlier but it's still Thursday afternoon. What the hell?

I'm still not going to pick it up until after my last end of year exam tomorrow since I need to study, but are EB Games breaking the release date or what?

I've heard this from quite a few Aussies on other forums I read. Guess they're all breaking street date a few hours early.

Harvey Norman did so Ebgames had to so people didn't cancel their preorders and run to HN.

Thread already about it here:

Is this the PC version you're talking about?

I always wonder why the PC version can't be sold a bit earlier. What's the difference to pre-loading it on Steam, seeing that you can't play it until it's unlocked anyway?

So when it is officially out you don't have to wait to install it. You just let it get decrypted and play.

I meant that there doesn't appear to be any harm in selling the PC version a day or two earlier, because one can't play it until unlock anyway.
