Open the game-Install-Play-Badly Optimized game-Goodbye 60 d

I can so picture this happening to so many pc users come midnight tomorrow including me. All this talk about how this engine is superbly optimized but i believe that since the engine is so new that bethesda engineer havent had enough time to learn how to make a proper pc port. I mean all these months of the Hardware discussion threads would go down the drain if this turns out to be a bad port for us pc gamers. I mean woulnt you guys be pissed if you paid 60 dollars to get the advantages of playing on pc only to find that it actually runs WORSE than console?

1. Bethesda made the engine themselves.
2. You don't even have the game yet.

Uh, they used a PC to render parts of the first gameplay trailer, so that means they got it working for some time now.
PCs are gamesas's ?main source of ideas" because of the mods made, and I don't think they'd let anyone down.

this is a valid worry, and yes, i'm worried as well. do i think it will happen? unfortunately its a 50-50 split for me, but i would LOVE to be completely wrong!!!

because i'm pretty sure the 360 was used as the lead format for the games development...

First off, according to numbers, Xbox is the largest fanbase....

That being said, Bethesda DID screw over their largest fanbase with this HDD texture issue.

PC will be fine.

Yes, i would be pissed. But again, i doubt it. We've seen a massive number of small and BIG devs ruin games due to releasing them as unfinished pieces of [censored].
BUT, Bethesdas track record is okay. Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, they were all playable on release, they WERE complete great games even if a bit buggy. (certainly nowhere near Shogun 2, SoTS2, Red Orchestra 2 levels of bugginess).
I don't believe this will be one of those games.

But yes you are right, we would all be pissed as hell, considering it is sold as a full price finished complete game. Why wouldnt we be?

Its happened so many times over the last few years i dont get upset anymore...

what i do now is hold off buying until some other poor sap...i mean kind soul buys early and finds out for me.

saved me a fortune in bad buys.

i firmly blame the console porting, greedy lil fingers clawing at the cash trough and kicking away the old "fans" with thier feet.

PC will be fine.

Remember there will be HUGE unofficial steam sale numbers, only the X-box numbers are official and STORE bought pc games + preorders.

I bought the game on steam as did four of my closest friends. Also talked about the game in class with some other gamers waiting for skyrim and they too are gonne buy it on steam.

Since steam dont let people know their sale numbers (for god knows what reason) we cant simply assume X-box will have the higher sales in the long run.

I will admit it is likely x-box WILL win over pc sales. Rome is ruled by the mob i guess...

waiting for friday first to patch before judging would be helpful. Not worth arguing without knowing how will patch affect the game on all platforms.
