Well the long wait is over ..... or is it???????

Just picked up my copy of Skyrim from EB Games .. (aussie) .. go to install and bloody Stream wont let me. I have always hate Steam and its over use of resources and this only adds to the distaste. Jesus people why did you choose this hopeless platform to launch from.

Because it's not your release date and Steam... unlike EB, is a decent company that keeps their release dates?

I find your lack of Steam love disturbing. It's an amazing platform for developers to launch games from, allowing quick and easy patching, sales, and avoiding the whole having to spend money on discs/boxing thing. As for its convenience to consumers, I find it extremely convenient, and not much of a resource hog. The enforced wait does svck though. (Pssst. . . Bethesda. Launch it early. . .)

I love it when a hater blames all their problems on Steam. Even if Steam has exactly nothing to do with said problems such as the OP's.
