I can't start pre-loading until tonight (thursday night), due to not having money until then. How long do people think I will be waiting considering I only have a 2m connection?
I want to play at midnight but am guessing it will take a while longer? Lets say I can start downloading at about 6.pm, will it take more than six hours to download?

Probably something like 1 hour at full speed - it's a 5-6GB download. It may be 2 to 4 though depending on the download speed from the server.
Edit: mixed up MB and mbit. 7 hours probably.

really? as short as that even with only 2m connection? Can't say I'm complaining if you're right. (you do realise I am talking about the entire game, not the decryption thing?)

I have about 1.2Mb/s - 2 Mb/s and it is about an hour - 45 minutes for me. The speed keeps going up and down

No sorry, was mixing up MB and mbit. Will be more like 7 hours.

6 hours and 17 minutes with no overhead.

I just preloaded at a speed of 2.3mb/s and it took me around 40 minutes.

Edit: sorry thought you meant 2m was your download speed. Your looking about 6-7 hours. If you start at 6pm you might just make it for midnight, but that's banking on Steam downloading at full speed, it quite often fluctuates.
