The XB360 Texture Issue

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 12:08 pm

The XB360 texture issue has been made abundantly clear to Bethesda. There's NO way they don't know the specifics about it.

Would it be so hard for them to say that they're aware of the issue and are working on it or that the day one patch already addresses the issue?

Well first of all there's no "Technical issues" forum yet so let's all wait till the game is released to everyone, i'm sure Beth will make a statement on this and some sort of patch/fix, for now just play from the disc (as i do) works fine

I suppose their hands have been full with fixing other more important bugs. As noticeable as this bug might be, it doesn't limit your gameplay, quests or progression so therefore not as pressing as other things might be. Give them some time and all will be well :)

I guess so..

though some ppl said, that they wont comment untill the game is actually released. Not sure if thats Bethesda fanboyism, or the truth.. guess we will see.

But i know one thing for sure.. it svcks! and i think Beth doesn't give a ratsass..

I think the fact that Morrowind, Oblivion and now Skyrim have been released on consoles is a clear indicator that it's no longer a PC game. It's a universal platform game. That's obvious, just like your dire attempt at trolling is.

That's not good enough.

I want to play Skyrim the way every other game can be played.

If I play from the disc, my XB360 will die.

It's going to have to be good enough until Skyrim is ACTUALLY released WORLDWIDE...

And your 360 will NOT die :P

I don't have Skyrim. Not yet.

And yes, my XB360 will die. It gets VERY hot when I play from the disc and it's VERY hot in my apartment. A game like Skyrim WILL kill my XB360.

How exactly will it die? Did you seek out a seer and they tossed around some magic runes, warning you not to play from the disk?

It won't kill your Xbox. I only have a few games installed on mine, ones that I DL'd from the marketplace. All other games have mostly been played from the disk Including: 150+hours Mass Effect2, 200+ Hours ESIV Oblivion, 200+ Hours Bad Company 2.

My console has never died for doing what's it's built to do, play games from a disk. (Not including my first Xbox which I had from Launch, RRoD'd on me after three solid years of disk playing)

I've gone through 7 Xbox 360s. I'm on my 8th.

I think I have some authority on what will and will not cause the system to fail. Playing a game like Skyrim for an extended period of time WILL kill mine as my XB360 is already in a very hot environment.

They really have no reason to release a statement before the official launch for the game. To do so would be to acknowlegde those who pirated the game or those who bought the game from a store that broke the official street date. Not only do they have no reason to release a statement but for all we know they may have a completed fix or a work in progress fix that will be released soon. Speculation of a bug pre-official release is still pointless...
