Just wondering if this has any impacts on Steam-less folks like myself, that will need to install and create Steam accounts tomorrow?

I wasn't a fan in the first place, and this certainly doesn't help.

Forums and Steam are separate. The forums use vBulletin and separate users/passwords.

The Steam Users' Forum is completely separate from Steam itself. The accounts aren't linked in any way.
