I'll stay away from the forums once I get home and start playing the game. I may check it out now and then at work starting the following week, but staying away from spoilers.

Lol, I was going to open the same thread.
One way I′m tempted to get in here, share my experiences and rant about that stupid first dragon that kills you 5 minutes after you escape prison, together with all the other′s.
But I guess, this is just the truth This will be a massive tug of war about consoles vs PC, english vs german sync, nords vs orcs and so on. Topped by a horde of Xbox-gamers posting spoilers. In 3 days the youtube-lets play-guys could be on about...well a 100000000000th of the story, but still 3 days ahead of the rest of us.
I′ll just resist all temptations, staying in this relatively safe forums until friday and enjoying the atmosphere of anticipation. Then I′ll get my game and make a new topic saying "I got it. Im out! I don′t think I′ll look at any of those LP′s either, at least not after having played the game myself for weeks and months, the only bit I′ve seen yet was a few random seconds of a german LP without looking at it, because this guy said that the german voices svck. Let me just say, they don′t.

I might take a peek, but I don't want anything spoiled for me. I will try to avoid the forums for a few weeks after release.

Will be closing down the hatches & avoiding the forums. I like to wander around slowly and take my time. I hope I get confused, stuck, baffled, challenged -- that's why I love these games. If you can just "flip to the back of the book" and get the answer you find yourself speeding up and charging through the stories. Of course we all want to know "what happens in the end", but really, what's the hurry? This is my story, and I'm in it and telling it and experiencing it. Living it. That's what makes this art form so different from movies and books. Immersion. And my own choices. Love it.

I'm ready now. You can unlock it please Steam & Bethesda...

Sorry, but hell I probably won't get off of my couch for two or three days after Skyrim comes out. I've taken a three day vacation for it, afterall.

I'll probably check in throughout the weekend to see what people are still saying about the game. I'll also be interested in the discussions that take place regarding any bugs and if they were actually resolved by the day 1 patch (HDD texture issue, etc.).

Time is a precious thing, try not to waste it.... Unless its on The elder scrolls.
