To help the time go by faster (character back-stories creato

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 5:58 pm

This is my first topic so I wanted to make it a good as I can.

I see a lot of different Character back-story threads that end up getting shuffled to the back and forgotten. I never made a character back-story before skyrim and I had a lot of fun doing it. It really helped the time go by faster.

Getting to the point this thread is for people who haven't created a back-story yet and are looking to make the wait go by faster. But all back-stories are welcome, I have a blast reading them.

Here is a outline of some details that you would put on your character. But when it comes to the background just let your imagination do the talking.

Background:(why is he/she set to executed? what was their childhood like? What faction if any were you aliened with?)

I have multiple examples below of my 5 different characters. They are varied in detail from a few paragraphs, to a 35 page journal packed with detail for my first main character. Their stories are even woven together at certain points.

I will post the back stories from least detailed to most detailed.

Background:
Spoiler

His father is a descendent of the Kajiit who took over the mantles of the thieves guild, when the grey fox disappeared. His family has been at the head of the Cyrodiil and Elsweyr chapter of ever since. He is a thief down to his bones and one of the most cunning. He loved the challenges his lifestyle presented to him. Over time with his father's training he became one of the best thieves in Cyrodiil. Dar Ra`Tesh Would take contracts that were once thought outlandish and impossible, and he was so efficient, he not only had a untainted track record he never once got caught in the act. He became so accomplished he was offered the head of the Elsweyr chapter at a young age.

One day he received a contract for a powerful amulet that was being held in the College of Winterhold. This would prove to be a near impossible task since it had already claimed the lives of three skilled members in the guild. Dar Ra`tesh jumped at the opportunity to once again prove himself. He began to formulate the safest route to Skyrim.

Dar Ra`tesh knew that the Cyrodiil, Skyrim border would be heavily guarded due to the impending war. He decided it would be best to stow himself away on a ship headed for High Rock and cross the western border. His plan seemed flawless but his choice of transportation was not. The boat he boarded as it turns out, was headed to Wayrest but was making a stop on Betony island first. The boat contained armor and weapons, as well as a elite team sent to aid in a prison riot that had gotten out of control. He managed to stay hidden for the duration of the battle but was discovered by a huge powerful Orc warrior named Grambak, Gro, Warlogg. After being thrown against the wall the Orc questions him about his intentions. He uses his silver tongue to convince the Orc he is an escaped slave trying to get to Daggerfall to see his wife. He hits the soft spot of the Orc and Grambak drops his guard for a moment. Dar Ra`tesh uses this opportunity to plant a dagger in the Orsimers temple, killing him instantly. The ship had already set sail but he was lucky enough to find a good hiding spot for the large Orc. When they land at Wayrest he waits for a good moment to escape but as he does, he runs in to the captain of the ship Corvus Andronicus and his brother Mattius arguing. Dar Ra`tesh immediately sent a stream of flames at the unarmored Corvus while simultaneously unsheathing his dagger. Mattius was shocked and recklessly charged at Dar Ra`tesh, but met the same fate as Corvus and Grambak.

Dar Ra`tesh escaped the grasp of one of the most influencial members of the Imperial Legion without even realizing it. It is ironic that when he was crossing the border to Skyrim he was arrested, but not for his past crimes or what he did on the boat. He was mistaken for a spy and sentenced to death. He laughed to himself that they would never really know who they were executing, and that he would remain a legend among his Guild.

Name: Tiras Redas.

When it comes to killing, Tiras is head and shoulders above the rest. He discovered long ago, in an ancient Dwemer ruin, a powerful potion that allows eternal youth. He has spent the last 200 years perfecting his abilities and taking on the hardest assignments.
Backround:
Spoiler

He spent a majority of his life in jail, His first time being in jail was from (3E 411 to 3E 427). He originally thought he was captured because of a botched assassination. When he got to the targets house, he finds the target and both his parents dead. He was arrested and spent sixteen years in jail before he was released by the emperor, and sent to Morrowind to Assassinate Dagoth-Ur. He does just that but then dose not return to prison like was agreed. He travels to Solstheim to avoid capture and while he is there, he participates in Hircine`s great hunt. He manages to defeat Hircine at his own game and returns to Vvardinfell for more challenges.

Once he returns to Vvardenfell, he had discovered that the Mora Tong were the ones responsible for his parents death. Tiras spent the next two years regaining the trust of the Mora Tong. His skills gained him a high rank that allowed him access to a majority of the Mora Tongs hind outs. Once he had gained there trust he began systematically slaughtering every Mora Tong member he could find. He single handedly destroyed the guild that killed his parents. He did not care why they did it, he just wanted retribution. Despite getting his revenge his blood lust remained stronger than ever, so he went on to find newer and harder targets.

The next time he was sent to prison was from (3E - 431 to 4E - 26). He had attempted to kill Hlaalu Helseth, the king of Morrowind. He did it only for the challenge of the kill. He was cocky and underestimated his opponent. So he was captured and sent to prison for his arrogance. After many years he managed to escaped with the goal of tracking down and killing Hlaalu Helseth. He had to avenge his failure. He not only tracked down and killed Hlaalu Helseth but his son as well. He discovered a interesting amulet on the body of Hlaalu, one that had the power to grant eternal youth. This amulet, combined with his races natural ability to age slowly, meant he could hone his skills for centuries. He then spent a lot of time perfecting his skills and hunting down the toughest targets he could find.

Thirty years, and dozens of targets go by before he slips up again and finds himself trapped in a tavern that is being investigated by the Imperial Legion. When his identity is discovered, he is sent back to Prison from (4E - 56 to 4E - 61). This time it only took him five years to break out. At this point in his life he had broken out of prison twice, and both times he went right back to doing what he was best at. He managed to stay free for thirty six years before he attempted to assassinate the Arch-mage of the Mages Guild. On 4E - 97. Tiras formulated a plan to get the drop on him, and managed to mortally wound the arch-mage with two precise shots with a bow. However the mage proved to be just as crafty as Tiras and managed to Paralyze Tiras before he died. The guards were alerted by a fellow mage and Tiras was captured once again.

He was sent to an island prison near Highrock. Betony island was supposed to have the most inescapable prison. He learned that the rumors were indeed true and escape from this prison was close to impossible. He has spent close to a hundred years in this prison before finally forming a plan. He knew that he could not escape by himself, so he rallied the Gumares, which is a large gang that takes up around half the prison. Tiras feeds them lies about the other large gang in the prison, The Valhalla. Tiras and the Gumares make their strike on the Valhalla, but Tiras is not looking for more power he is looking to escape. So halfway through the battle Tiras makes his move, but it proves to be Futile as a young Breton named Danous, that he has been feuding with has blocked the way. After a long and brutal fight he defeats Danous but is met by a large assault team before he can finish him off. Despite being wounded Tiras engages the team of ten well trained men, he manages to kills them off one by one using his knowledge of the prison underground. He was nearly defeated by a large Orc warrior that was truly a challenge to take down. As he makes his second attempt at sneaking to the docks he is exposed by a near lifeless Danous and is captured by the guard once again. Danous succumbs to his wounds after he is sure Tiras could not escape.

Tiras was furious his plan did not work. However he was surprised at how well the young boy did. His anger was broken however when we was brought in to a small room with two people. They would not give their names but Tiras could tell they were of high rank by their armor. Tiras is informed that one of the men he killed in the prison was Mattius Andronicus. He is the son of a very influential guard captain in the Imperial City. He was being sentenced to death, but before they finished, they informed him of a serious problem they might have uncovered. The Legion captains offered to make a deal with Tiras, one that would see him set free. The deal was for Tiras to go to Skyrim and hunt down a Dragon that has been sighted in the region. Tiras laughs to himself and mutters, "I'll do whatever you want me to do as long as it gets me out of these shackles. They agree that their true intentions must remain a secret, so they send him too Skyrim under the cover of his own execution. They have confidence Tiras will find a way to escape without their hands getting dirty. He thought them fools for releasing him on some crazy hear say, but when he arrives in Skyrim, Tiras realizes he was the fool.

Background:
Spoiler

Mattius was the youngest of a proud noble family involved in the Imperial Legion. His father was a captain of the guard in the Imperial City after spending most of his life fighting for the Imperial Legion, and his brothers were all involved in the Legion one way or another. Needless to say, Mattius always had big shoes to fill. He was always getting in to trouble even though he seemed to have such potential. His family saw the wasted potential first hand since he was one of the best mages in Cyrodil yet not a member of any Guild. Magic came so naturally to him he never had to try real hard and never devolved a good work ethic.

He was usually treated unfairly by his siblings since he was not in the Legion, so he used to go out and make his own friends. He started hanging around some shady characters and inevitably began doing Skooma. He does not remember much of what he did wrong. All he can remember is years of Skooma and Moonsugar abuse. One day after he had been on a two week Skooma binge, his brother Steffan broke in to his house to make sure he was ok. As his brother tried to help Mattius`s unconscious body up, one of his drugged out roommates mistook him for a thief and stabbed Steffan in the back. He has managed to get a member of his own family killed and got the rest of them to turn on him.

As he is trying to fight his way back in to his family's good graces, he spent a lot of time hunting and clearing his head of his troubled past. He has started dedicating himself to the way of the Legion and has made many attempts to gain their good graces. One day his opportunity finally comes, as his brother Corvus comes to him with a mission. Corvus give Mattius a document about a Dunmer named Tiras Redas. Corvus has been dispatched to Betony island to stop a prison riot that has gotten out of control. His orders are to stop the riot and take Tiras Redas alive by any means necessary.

Mattius is relieved that his brother would come to him for help, and he immediately sets off with him for Betony island. When they arrive it is far worse than the reports. The whole prison has been lost and the guards are struggling to contain the riot to just the prison grounds. Mattius follows a elite group of fighters, lead by Matus Galenus Otius though a secret passage in to the prison. Once inside they must fight their way though random groups of prisoners that jump at the chance to kill a member of the Legion. They finally encounter Tirus in a dark room near the center of the prison. The team engages him in a fierce battle and Mattius is quickly thrown to the side by a wave of ice thrown by the Dunmer. He watches Tirus kill one member of the team after another and realizes that despite the numeral advantage they had, the team was overmatched. It was finally down to one member of the team, a large Orc named Grambak, Gro, Warlogg who was the only one still fighting. He seemed to be the closest one to besting Tirus, but it proved to be not close enough. Tirus doges a swing of the Orcs axe and lands behind him. The Dunmer turns and throws his short sword in to Grambaks chest. Grambak shakes off the blow, breaks of the hilt of the blade, and then charges at Tirus. The resilience of the Orc ended when Tirus picked up a bow laying near him and shot a arrow right in to the Orsimers leg.

Tirus placed all his attention on Grambak and began to ready his bow. But before he could make his kill shot, a rouge arrow came and stuck Tirus in the neck killing him instantly. Right then a random prisoner Mattius did not know come up and takes back the arrow. Grambak attacks this man despite his injuries, and wounds him. But the next blow was the prisoners as he kicks the blade that impaled Grambak even deeper. Mattius uses the fight to sneak over to the body of Tirus and get the bow he was using. He then shoots the prisoner in the back with the bow and Grambak uses what strength he has left to finish him off.

The two return to the ship and give Corvus the news. Mattius`s brother grew furious and put all the blame on Mattius, despite it not being his fault. He boasted about his superiority and insulted Mattius. Corvus stated lack of dedication as the reason, and threw Mattius in to the brig. Corvus sends him away with the intent of scaring him straight, but before he can explain why he was incarcerated, Corvus is killed by a Kajiit named Dar Ra`tesh. The Kajiit has also killed two guards, and Grambak who was recovering from his wounds. The Kahjiit was killed by the guards after being discovered, but it was too late. everyone who knew what happened was dead and in terrible mix up Mattius is being transported to his execution.

Background:
Spoiler

He was a Orc soldier raised in Morrowind. When he was young his father beat him and his mother. After living through a dramatic childhood he had the urge to try and protect people. He freelanced for a while but he never could do as much good as he wanted. Thinking it was a solution for his urge to protect, he decided to join the imperial legion. He was declined the first few times dew to his race, but when on his third attempt to join he was declined once again, he grew so frustrated that he insulted the biased captain and challenged him to a fight. After an brutal back and forth fight he bested the veteran captain and was finally accepted in to the legion.

Respect for Grambak spread quickly throughout the Legion because of his ferocity and courage. One day he was promoted and put in to a special team consisting of five men. He was under the impression it was meant for specialized, and delicate missions a full garrison wouldn't be right for. The five members included A Readguard named Din Orrin, who played the role of assassin. Din was best at making his targets death, look like an accident. Then there was a Female Imperial named Moria Pereneia. She is a speachcraft expert who plays the role of a Spy. She seems like she can talk her way through almost any situation. Then there was the Altamer named Nelacar Umbacano, who serves as the Mage. He is renowned across the land for his skill and has even passed up the opportunity to become arch mage of the mages guild. Finally there was Matus Galenus Otius. He serves as a Jack of all Trades. He is highly skilled with most weapons and majicka as well as strategic knowledge of all the terrain in Tamriel. He is also the leader of the group.

Their first mission as a team was to track man holding stolen items across Hammerfell to Cyrodil. They end up tracking the man to the Colovian Highlands. He was holed up in a old tower in a ancient Ailyid ruin. After defeating his three guards they realized they could not gain entrance to the top room in the tower. So in order to complete our mission Grambak went back to a mine we passed on the way there. When he got back he had a few pic axes, so the team and Grambak steadily destroyed the foundation of the tower and send the tower crashing to the ground, which kills the man. As they dig through the rubble we find and retrieve the item.

Only a few months after forming the team, they travel to the Summerset Isle. However Grambak was only accompanied with Din and Nelacar since Matus and Moria were away in Morrowind. The reason they were in the Summerset Isle`s was to stop and band of Necromancers. This trip is where he bonds with Nelacar, who had a similar upbringing as Grambak. This is also were the confrontation between him and Din began. When they arrive at the lair, Nelacar uses his Magika to Shield Din and Grambak from the Necromancers attacks, which allows them to get close enough to kill them. But the other Necromancers use their power to reanimate their fallen brethren and keep attacking. Even cutting their heads off doesn't work. But finally we figure out cutting them in half

makes it impossible for them to attack. We capture the two leaders alive and bring them to justice.

The next few months were filled with success, mission after mission was executed perfectly. They were sent to stop an assassination and ended up using a ploy to make the assassin make his move sooner than he wanted. They used this and managed to corner and catch the assassin. They helped Moria infiltrate a gang that was growing in size, located in Black Marsh. It really showed he persuasive skills since, not many Imperials would be able to gain the trust of a, mostly Argonian gang. However the clean track record did not last long.

One day they are sent on a mission to Betony Island. Their official job description was to aid in a prison riot that got out of hand. But they were really sent to capture a master dark elf assassin named Tiras Redas, and the Legion wanted him alive. The team was accompanied by a group of four soldiers and a Imperial noble named Mattius Andronicus. They were confident they had enough man power to take him. But the Elf proved to be far more formidable than they expected, and he ended up nearly wiping out the entire team. In the end only Nelacar, Din, Grambak, and Matus remain. They not only failed to capture Trias alive, they got the son of a guard captain killed. In one botched mission the team was battered and nearly broken, and worst of all they lost the good graces of the legion.

After failing the empire they were sent on several missions they considered to be a waste of time. But Matus always follows his orders, and makes sure everyone around him dose too. Grambak was already fed up with the actions of the Imperial Legion, but his will is truly tested when they are sent on a mission that goes against Grambaks morals. He and his team is ordered to slaughter a full town of people, including the women and children. They were told the villagers are suspected of having a new sickness that is popping up all over Tamriel. After discussing it with Nelcar, Grambak and Nelacar agree to refused to be a part of the slaughter and demand that Matus called it off. Grambak knew that after he refuses the orders, his team would become divided and begins to fight each other. Their plan is for Grambak to make a stand, and for Nelcar to head for the village to help them escape.

Grambak and Nelacar decide to try and convince the team to go against the order before they act, but agree that if they fail they must stop them. Grambak makes his stand on a wooden rope bridge, that's just on the outskirts of the village. Nelcar crossed the bridge and got in to position as Grambak blocked the way. He told Matus that he could not allow him to slaughter the innocent villagers, and that this was wrong. Matus took this as treason and ordered Din to attack. But just as Din pulls out his axe Grambak cuts the rope and they all plunge in to the river below. Nelcar continues on to try and help the village. When Grambak gets to the coast downriver, he sees no one. He knows if either Din or Matus survived the fall they would report him. He now has to make a run for it.

He is indeed a wanted, but managed to evade the Legion and cross from Cyordiil to Hammerfell. But as he attempts to cross in to Skyrim he is captured in the middle of the night and sentenced to death.

The Story of Danous Wulf

A wood elf sits down next to a small fire. He sips his soup and pulls a large stack of papers from his pack. As he begins to inspect them he counts five journals, and decides to read them. These journals belonged to his good friend Danous, and his friend father Darious. He decided to go from the oldest journal to newest, despite the fact that the old journals were badly burned and most of it could not be read. The titles of the first two journals were tattered so he wrote new ones, as best he could.

Journal 1.
Brief accounts of childhood written by father Darius Wulf. Most of the pages of the journal were destroyed in the fire. This is what was put together from what was left.
Spoiler

Father - Darius Wulf, Born 4E 132
Mother - Arielle Wulf, Born 4E 145

Danus was born on 4E 178 to a very high ranking family in Wayrest, High Rock.

4E-183-Suns Dawn-7th

Since I am just a simple Imperial Hunter/Adventurer with no formal education, I enjoyed moving to the outskirts of Wayrest. Even Arielle, a wealthy, popular, and beautiful Breton Scholar, who spent every day socializing with the other women in town can find appreciation in the beauty of the wilderness. Although she was terrified of most its inhabitance. Living out here was something I always wanted since my father died in the battle of North Point... (page burnt, cannot read on)

4E-183-Suns Dawn-28th

So at a young age despite his mothers protest I decided to train the boy. The agreement was he would join a school to become a Scholar when he became old enough, which was a much safer endeavor in High Rock than my life of exploration. But I always knew that we would leave it up to Danous. Every man is the master of his own destiny. We go on our first hunt soon. I will take him to the .... (page burnt, cannot read on)

4E-183-Frost Fall-23rd

Danous is being trained in the arts of hunting, survival, and war. Just like I did when I was as a child. But as I teach him these skills, it was not just the passion he found in the hunt it's the pace at which he learned that astonished me. Danous could learn technique and tactics in a matter of days. By the time this passage was started he had been on 15 hunts with Faux, Roderic, and myself. He was even hunting small game by himself, all at the age of 6. His archery skills are also exceptional. He can consistently hit a target up to 15 feet away. Just the other day he .... (page burnt, cannot read on)

4E-184-Mid Year-5th

Today Danous returns to our home soaked in blood. Arielle and I quickly run to the boy, but as I make eye contact he smiled at me. It was then I let out a sigh of relief since I knew that he was unharmed. He was so excited he could barely get out the details of what had happened. He went on to tell us how he killed his first troll with just a knife all by himself, which is very impressive at age the young age of seven. I will log the details as best I can.

He was fishing in the hills north of our home when he noticed a troll walk in to the water across the river most likely also looking for fish. As Danous slowly got to his feet the troll noticed his movement and began to sprint towards him, water splashing all around the creature. Danous quickly readied his hunting bow and shot an arrow in to the beasts chest. The beast was unaffected and charged at him even faster. He dropped the bow and decided to pull out his mothers Elvin dagger which is what he took with him whenever he was by himself. He quickly pulled out the poison we had gathered and mixed ourselves and places it at the tip of his blade. As the beast jumped out of the shallow river Danus held the dagger out in front, slightly above his face and lined it up with the troll as best he could. As the full weight of the beast came crashing down on to Danous he plunged the dagger in to the trolls throat. That blow along with the fast acting poison was enough to kill the troll. As he crawled out from underneath the much larger creature, he decided to get the meat for dinner. There are few better feelings a father can feel then pride I felt for what my son had done at such a young age. On his trip home he was ..... (page burnt, cannot read on)

4E-186-First Seed-28th

Today Arielle, Danous, and I head out for Daggerfall. We head there so Arielle can see her family where she grew up. The trip should take only a few days on a carriage but just in case we bring extra provisions. My good friend Faux will be helping us get there safely so I am confident nothing will happen. Arielle is to give a speech in her old academy and then we shall head.. ..... (page burnt, cannot read on)

4E-187-Rains Hand-14th

I decided to take Danous on another one of my adventures. Several other warriors including my brother Cyrus will accompany us on our travels to west High Rock. Unfortunately Roderic cannot accompany us on this trip. It is the first journey I have taken without him in some time. We are to investigate a village whose crops has mysteriously disappeared. I suspect a small group of bandits. We pack our things and head off to Wayrest in the morning to meet up with Cyrus and the rest of the group. We will go north first towards Shornhelm while hugging the lliac bay. Then we shall turn due west for..... (page burnt, cannot read on)

(End of Journal)

The wood elf pulls out a small journal that seemed to not be damaged. He packs his pipe and opens the journal.

The traveling journal of Darius Wulf from the Rains hand incident. The journal was not damaged.
Spoiler

4E-187-Rains Hand-17th

It has been a successful few days of travel. Food is plentiful and shelter is easy to come by. The worst thing about our journey so far is the terrain. Danous decided he wanted to feed us tonight. So he set out and came back in no time with a fine elk. It's a good night. We should reach the town of Ykalon in three to four days.

4E-187-Rains Hand-19th

We made it safely to the town of Ykalon today. We have set up in the local Inn and plan on getting to work in the morning. I am sure if Arielle knew I was sharing a few meads with Danus she would have more than a few choice words for me. Tonight we rest for the journey that awaits us.

4E-187-Rains Hand-25th

We had gone on expeditions before and this wasn't Danouses first time but I tell this story in great detail because of the unusual power I discovered in my own son. After several uneventful days of traveling we had grown weary and unobservant. Our guard was down since we did not notice a group of bandits snuck up on us and had us surounded. They were able to surprise us and attacked the front and rear of our group. Since he was at the back of the group and had the advantage of youth Danous was the first to notice them as he blocked a arrow from hitting his uncle Cyrus with the cooking pan he was tasked with carrying. The loud ring it gave alerted the group and everyone drew their weapons. Even without the advantage of surprise the bandits made up of Dunmer and Bretons were experienced warriors and swarmed in from all directions. I shoot an arrow at the closest bandit and hit him in the eye, then as quickly as he falls I fire another at the one behind him. It does not kill him like the first but it staggers him, and give me a chance to look back to see Danous and Cyrus take out a few of the bandit archers behind us.

However two members of our group have been struck down by those very archers. I turn back to see the wounded bandit close in with his Ax and take his swing. I block the Ax with my Elvin bow and the weapon becomes imbedded in my bow. Then in one quick motion I spin around, throwing the imbedded Ax from the Dunmers hand, and draw my glass short sword to jab at his exposed abdomen. The attack met its mark and the Dunmer falls to his death. I call out to Cyrus to move Danous to the front of the group with me, but as I look back I see Cyrus on one knee with 2 arrows in his back and Danous preventing 2 bandits from finishing him. I rush to their side but for my haste I receive a arrow in my leg before I reach them. Things were getting bad fast and then they seemed to get even worse as I spotted Khajiit mage calmly approaching from the rear. The mage sent a wave of fire at the last two members of our group that were at the rear. This left Cyrus, Danous and myself defenseless at the back, and only the 2 members at the front of our group remain. Danous was putting up a formidable fight but it was only a matter of time until the 2 bandits got the better of him so I tossed my sword as hard and as straight as I could and managed to hit one of the Mer in the chest. As the other bandit turned to see what happened to his companion Danous took advantage of the distraction and plunged his blade in to the back of his neck.
This is when the mage brought his attention to Danous and Threw another powerful wave of fire, this time directly at him. But thinking quick Danous pulled the bandit he had just stabbed in to the path of the fire. It pains me to say that Cyrus was unable to do the same, and was hit directly by the attack. I drew my bow and lined up a shot at the mage but with the damage the Ax did the bow snapped in two before I could get off a shot. As the mage turns to me and begins to charge his next attack, I yell out to Danous to run and to save himself.

This is when I first discovered the abilities inside Danous. He gets back to his feet after being knocked back by the blast. He Yells at the top of his lungs in a language I didn't recognize, and it sent a wave of energy, more powerful than the strongest mountain wind and send the Kahjiit mage hurdling in to a tree. Then he looks towards me and shouts again. This time I not only see the energy I feel it as well. It hits with unbelievable force and send me flying back at least 15 feet. As I staggered to my one good foot, I look around and noticed 3 bandits around me recovering from the blast that hit me. This is when I realized the bandits must of finished off the remaining members of our group at the front and was about to finish me off. As soon as I made the realization Danous runs up and jumps on to the left shoulder of one of the dazed Mer. Hanging off the bandits left pauldron Danous swings around and slits his throat. I then make quick work of the remaining dazed bandits. Being a formidable warrior at a young age, not only did Danous managed to save me during the battle with the bandits, he and I were the only two left alive. Even thou we were both wounded and I lost a brother, this created a very strong bond between father and son.

4E-187-Rains Hand-27th

Despite the horrid events that took place on our journey I can take some comfort in keeping my promise to Danous and returning home before Jesters day. Arielle heals our wounds and we let him go play with his friends. I leave most details out when talking to my wife. I right in this journal because I can't keep this log in my home. I have never seen power like that before. Not even from Arielle`s fellow scholars, whom are some of the strongest mages in High Rock. Danous says he has no memory of the event and can only recall up to when he was hit by the mages attack. I will figure out what happened on our journey and how it can best benefit my son.

4E-187-Seckond Seed-3rd

My old friend, I come to you with something I wish you to share with no one. My son Danous has been exhibiting abilities that were thought to of been long lost. Enclosed in this letter is my travel journal for the event in question. I have done some research myself and what I have discovered is complex, so I wish to get your expertise on the matter. Please write me as soon as you can should you make a discovery.

The wood elf could not believe what he read. Danous never told him of these events.
Nor has he ever shown a power similar to the one described in the journal. He anxiously reads on.

Journal 2.
Written by father Darius Wulf. Most of the pages of the journal were destroyed in the fire. More than the first journal so it becomes a bit confusing. This is what was put together from what little was left.

To meet this late was unfavorable as it would raise suspicion. I told Roderic to come to my home the following day and we would share a mead while we review the map of Skyrim. After Faux and I hit a dead end in Falkreath we had to find the next likely location. I cannot let Arielle find out about this journey. We have finally received the lost map and tomorrow I shall send word to this man who is mysteriously helping me. He claims he is a former blade and he can get in to the lost chambers. I don't want any more blood on my hands for this, but we are so close. It has been hard ever since Arielle found out about my quest from Faux. I can never forgive myself for what happened to Faux`s brother. Ever since Faux moved to Morowind Arielle insists I bring a powerful battle mage with me, so I have to dig down deep to ask Andil for his help. My pride won't stop me from figuring out this puzzle. But how can I take the word of a man I barely know over Andils. I know that Andil is not a man of honor and a mooch but he is a very educated scholar. The blades have been disbanded for many years now so I don`t know if he is just a crazy old man or one of the last members like he claims. He is talking about visions of dragons and destruction. As the wood elf puts down the tattered remains of the journal two letters he did not see before fell out of the binding. He picks them up and was surprised to discover it is two unsent letters written by his mother. He wishes Danous had a chance to read them before being captured. He feels guilty that his eyes are the first to see them but he reads on.

This is 2 letters by Danous`s mother Arielle Wulf written to her sister Leles.

4E-190-Heart fire-25th

My dearest Leles I write to you with tragic news. All the Father Son bonding that his expeditions brought on was hart warming. Unfortunately it did not last. He stared going on these long journeys looking for some weird power that he thinks Danous might posses. Only weeks after Danous turned 12 his father went on one of these great expedition to find a valuable lost artifact with Andil, a scholar and close family friend. Darius was convinced this trip would explain more about our son. He said it might have something to do with the blades. He was the expert tracker and lead hunter for the group. Andil was the battle mage and they had 3 other good men accompanied him on their journey, all of them were accomplished students of Andil. Since this was very common thru out his whole life Danous did not think twice about it but after a few months go by I began to suspect the worst. A year went by before we heard anything, Then last week when Andil finally returned Danous and I learned that his father had disappeared while on the expedition. He and I are crushed. Andil was the only one who`s heart was big enough to came to break the news to us, and I owe him for that. While he was distraught by the news Danous was in denial and couldn't shake the feeling he had deep inside that his father is alive and will return to him soon. I however am not as hopeful since he has never been gone this long. I hope to see you soon, thou with recent events it may be a while.

Best wishes - Arielle

A letter by Arielle Wulf to sister Leles.

4E-195-Suns Dawn-25th

My dearest Leles. Five years have passed since Darius went missing. Danous is now 17 years old and It is clear to me the scars have not fully healed. But he managed to learn how to not only move on, but thrive among the other teens here in Wayrest. He is respected by the men and desirable to the women, and he credited his father for becoming the man that he is today. I am very proud of him. He is finally happy again for the first time in a while. But I can't help but feel like how quickly I fell in love with Andil Rumer has bothered him. Even thou he says he is glad I could be happy again, now that I am remarried I can tell he strongly disliked his new Altimer stepfather and the rules we made in his best interest. He always hated how quickly they seemed to give up the search for his lost father. Unlike his father, Andil is an accomplished scholar. I worked with him when I was a teacher of the arcane arts in Daggerfall. Even though he was a formidable battle mage Danous feels his new stepfather had no honor. But he is just a different person. Because of what happened to his father Andil and I decided he was no longer allowed to hunt with his friends so he could focus on his schooling. It was deemed, by Andil, that its safer to not become a traveling hunter and more important to begin training to be a Scholar. We told him he had to switch schools and would be starting at the school Andil currently teaches in. I agree that he should follow in his stepfathers footsteps as I could not bear to lose him too. We are looking forward to seeing you when you come visit soon. My only wish is that you mention none of this as it might stir a argument.

Best wishes - Arielle

The Wood Elf puts down the stack of papers and leans back. He has finished his friends parents journal entries. Now all he has left is to do is dive in to the personal entries of his only friend. He decides to wait for morning, but can't make it more than a few hours before the curiosity overcame him. He needed to know the details of what happened to his friend. He had to know how someone could change so much in such a short amount of time. He wanted to see if there was anything he could do to repay Danous for his sacrifice. He packs his pipe with fine herb and begins to read the journal of Danous Wulf.

4E-197-First Seed-2nd

I have been talked in to keeping my own journal. Keeping a log is not the usual thing I do at night but Falicia says she sees something in me, and that I should tell our story. Not much else to do while your keeping watch in the woods at night so I obliged. We are on the run. I have a lot of things on my mind. My father. My mother. My friends and family that I am leaving behind. But I guess I will start the story around a year before I finally decided to leave Wayrest. My father always said that details are very important so I will be as descriptive as I can. It begins around a year ago when my mother first told me I was switching schools.

Just a year ago, I was going on hunts with my friends Kaye and Morth. The three of us used to catch more game than our school instructor. We would explore the tall Wrothgarian Mountains and search caves for more dangerous game. I was getting involved with the Pritia sisters, and I was going dungeon diving with Jerian Detritus. I was even learning about sailing and the deep Illiac Bay from Roderic a old friend of my fathers. But that was all flipped up on my head when I learned my mother had gotten engaged with Andil and I had to travel to a special school for future scholars. I couldn't believe my mother would move on with a Mer like Andil, But at least she was happy.

I must rest for the long journey we must take tomorrow. I shall continue to update my log and tell my story.

4E-197-First Seed-3rd

We are traveling quickly. Falicia is doing a great job considering she is very new to the wilderness. Since we are making such good time we have stopped at an Inn for some quality food. She gossips with the girls upstairs while I write in my log.

Like I was saying before, I learned my mother had gotten engaged with Andil and I had to travel to a special school for future scholars. I hated the idea of someone else choosing what I would be doing the rest of my life. Especially by someone like Andil.
After a month he said I now couldn't go Dungeon diving or hunting anymore. At first I was just being obedient for my mother but that got old fast. Over a short period of time she changed. Or I should say Andil changed her. I wanted to get back to what my life was. That was until I met her.

She was a half Breton, half Readguard named Falicia, and she went to my new school. She was more beautiful than any woman I had been with before. At first she was reluctant but it didn't take me long to get her to warm up to me. And when she did I thought to myself well this isn't all that bad. She seemed to numb the situation that I was in. I spent all of my free time with her and she made time fly by. We would explore the large school and even prank some of the teachers. Before long we were everything but old enough to get married.

Falicia had been in the school for a lot longer than me so she was very skilled, particularly at Alteration and Restoration. I spent a whole year learning the healing arts, while also getting extra pointers from Falicia. So I wasn't surprised when I started getting pretty good at it. I quickly grew tired of the mundane healing and curing spells and became fascinated by the possibilities of the school of Destruction. I figured if you get disarmed somehow, a fireball spell would come in handy.

However over time Falicia and I both became reckless. We began to miss class and disappear for hours a day. We did it because it was not affecting our school work, we could be gone all day and still be able to pass the exams. It was amazing while it lasted but when Andil found out that my attention was solely on Falicia and not on his pointless studies, he agreed that I was not ready to advance to the school of destruction. Then if that wasn't enough Andil told Falicia`s father what had happened, and they agreed to forbid me and Falicia from ever seeing each other. They even told the guards to arrest me when I said I would just try to see her by force That was the last straw.

Falicia has entered the room. We shall enjoy ourselves before we have to head out. I will continue tomorrow I am able.

4E-197-First Seed-5th

Last night was a very crazy night. The fire went out twice from the rain and we were unable to find much food. Then a vicious thunderstorm took out part of our cover so we had to find some safe cover in the dark. Tonight is the complete opposite with clear skies, a comfortable breeze on my face, a nice warm fire, and Falicia sleeping soundly at my side. So now I shall continue my story.

I was furious that I could not see Falicia. And I had grown tired of the new life that was being forced upon me. Becoming very rebellious I easily convinced her to run away from home with me. The night we decided to sneak out I was almost discovered by one of the guards posted on the street. As he called out for me to stop and asked for my name, I dipped my mom's Elvin blade in to a poison. I had anticipated needing a nonlethal poison that can temporarily paralyze someone so I could sneak in to Falicias house. I walked up as if I was lost, asking for direction to the tavern down the street, only to slash at the guards arm as he went to point. I made sure not to cut deeply but the poision did not kick in as fast as I had hoped and the guard yelled out for help so I had to hit him with the hilt of my blade knocking him unconscious. I dragged him in to the shadows and waited to see if anyone herd his call. The coast was clear, no one was coming so I entered Falicia`s house. I woke her up and she collected her things and we got out of the area before the guard even woke up. Completely relying on my hunting skills and her exceptional healing powers to survive we decided to move north in to the moutons I hunted in as a child.

Which brings us to today. Three nights on the road and there are no signs of anyone following us. Falicia sleeps at my side since we have not been able to rest for a while, but I couldn't sleep so I decided to finish the first story in my journal for this new chapter of my life.

4E-197-First Seed-8th

It is night time. We have be on the road for three days since my last journal entry. We have a nice cave to sleep in and a hearty elk to feed on. Definitely the best meal of our travels. Falicia has been as strong, as I predicted she would be. We have been traveling along the border to Hammerfell towards the city of Evermore. Tomorrow we will arrive at Evermore, we will see what this adventure brings us tomorrow.

4E-197-First Seed-9th

Evermore proved to be a bad idea. We thought we had lost any pursuers that were tracking Falicia and I when we got to Evermore. The city itself was a wonder and full of life. We chat with a Argonian that was selling a local newspaper to see if news had spread of our disappearance. There was no mention of it. A Nord we were chatting with suggested we go to a tavern close by. We duck down in to a alleyway making our way to the tavern. It was a dark ally and the setting sun did not reach it, so I did not notice two men approaching from behind.

That's what hid their approach and gave our attackers the upper hand. One of them was a Dunmer and the other a Imperial. I suspect that Falicia`s father sent them cause the men tried to kill me and did not try to capture Falicia. And since they tried to kill me in a secluded ally I knew it wasn't the guards so I had to defend myself. The first strike was thrown by the Imperial. The men clearly did not know who they were messing with since I easily used the Imperials own motion to disarm the Dunmer and plunge his friends own blade in to his chest. I mutter in a deep voice "My father trained me well". The imperial let the sword that was imbedded in his friend go and pulled out a dagger. But after I unsheathed my sword and knocked the blade out of his hand he came to his senses and ran off, or at least for a second I thought that's why he ran. But as I turn around I see a city guard standing at the other end of the ally with Falicia`s arm in his hand. He says were both going to have to come with him.
I know well enough that if there are no witnesses to support your story you will most likely end up rotting in a cell. I calmly told him he was mistaken and to release her arm.. He declined so I pull out my dagger. I had to force him to let her go. I flip the blade to my fingertips ready to launch it at the guards head, when the ground in between us began to glow. I could tell Falicia was trying to summon a bone walker since I had often sparred with this particular conjuration of hers. The undead warrior comes together and raises his Ax but the guard is much faster and cuts the creature in half. We use this as a diversion and we run like hell. I don't think the cities of high rock will be safe for us for a while.

4E-197-First Seed-10th

We have covered our tracks well but we can`t stay too long due to the openness of our camp site. Falicia has done wonders healing the minor wounds I receive while hunting. We rest tonight for we have a long journey ahead.

4E-197-First Seed-13th

I came across a fellow hunter today named Darun Curtis. He and I were after the same game and after a short conversation we decided instead of fighting over it we should just all eat together. Just from the 2 hour conversation we had at dinner I picked up a lot of useful information. He told us that Andil and Falicia`s father have men searching for us. The strange thing is, despite our encounter the other day in Evermore no one had reported seeing us. He knew this because when he was in town selling goods he was asked by a Imperial Legion guard about us. He said he is not happy with the direction Legion has gone and would not tell them he saw us. He also told us of a small village in the Wrothgarian Mountains that he used to trade with. He hasn't made it out there in a while but he believes it might be a good place for us since it is cut off from most of High Rock but the villagers are a bit intense. We thank him as he leaves. Tomorrow we set out for the mark on the map, that is our next best hope.

4E-197-First Seed-16th

After about 2 days on the road and climbing this tall mountain we arrived the village a few days ago . It turns out it's not too far from the rebuilt city of Orsinium. There were seven Orcs who lived in the village. The hunter forgot to mention that they were all Orcs but that was more of a problem for Falicia than me. She had never seen a Orc, or any of the beast races before we ran away for that matter. The leader of the village approached me. He was a towering Orc named Durbal Gro Ghamonk with heavy Orcish armor and a great battle Axe. Durbal said Normally they would cast outsiders out to the cold but after hearing our story and proving my skill with a bow and blade they have done everything but take us in as one of their own. We had the first good night sleep since we left Wayrest. Now I sit next to a fire with Falicia asleep at my side and a ale in my hand. The future for now, is looking very promising.

4E-197-First Seed-17th

Today I had to pass a test for my training. I had to sneak in to a nearby cave and kill a minator with just a dagger. The was only one rule, that I could only use a dagger and not a bigger weapon that are meant to handle such large creatures. I figured it would be easy if I put some of the poison me and my dad used to make on my blade. As I snuck through the cave I came across a ledge I could climb. At the top is a little cove that is very concealed where I could hide. This is where I decided I would make my kill. As I waited I could hear the beast lumbering towards me. I waited until the beast was right below me before I decided to strike. The dagger entered the minators head with my full weight behind it. I held on as the beast flailed around trying to get me off his back but the poison took effect quickly and the beast fell on to its side dying. I took the horn and went back to camp victorious. Tonight I shall drink myself to sleep.

4E-197-Rains Hand-13th

Durbal has story like the ones my father used to tell me of when he was in the battle for Dragonstar. But a particular story Durbal told me hit me hard. He told me that in a battle with the empire over stolen land, He and his father along with 30 Orc warriors held up in a fort that was "confiscated" by the empire. It was near where Durbal was born so he and his father were passionate about the fort. After 3 weeks of holding there the empire sent a garrison of their finest soldiers. Durbals father was worried that if the empire continues occupation of their land, that it would eventually lead to an attack on Orsinium. They managed to learn that the garrison that was making its way to them was from the Imperial City. This new info helped Durbal`s father think of an idea. If they sent multiple small groups of Orcs to attack the imperial city in its weakened state, it might force the garrison to call off the attack and return to the city. It would take about two months to sneak groups of Orc warriors all the way out of the mountains and in to the Imperial City. It was a long shot but Durbal and the Orcs managed to hold off the garrison for 3 months before the imperials got word of the attacks. But in those blood soaked three months there was a battle were Durbal and his father had to make a sacrifice. They had to jump off one of the high walls that surround the fort and land on the makeshift battering ram they were using to break down the gate. They managed to destroy the siege machine and kill off a few of the soldiers that were operating it. But as they were about to be surrounded Durbals father went in to a berserker mode. Durbal describes it as a last ditch effort that the Orcs posses that increases their strength while masking any pain. His father attacked a garrison of men head on and alone so Durbal could get back inside the walls. He did not want to discuss it further after that last part. It reminded me of my father and what he would do for me. I miss hearing his stories so it's nice to talk about war and hunting with someone else. Durbal has been a professional warrior for longer than anyone I knew so I am honored that he allowed me and Falicia to stay in his village.

4E-197-Rains Hand-19th

Falicia and I are having a great time living out here in nature. Things are starting to look up and we are doing great. We are learning a lot from these resourceful people.

4E-197-Rains Hand-27th

It has been a month of training. The days are grueling and the nights are even harder. I haven't had this much fun since I went hunting with my father. Besides the things my dad taught me made the training go a lot smoother. My teacher, Baroth Gro Grat expected me to fail since I was a Breton, But I have just as much fight in me as any Orc. He has been teaching me how to use a long sword since my young arms were not long enough to learn from my dad. It instantly felt natural and I have spent countless hours perfecting my technique but in my many duals with Baroth, he still finds ways to best me every time. It's hard to find the time to write with all the time I spend with Falicia, training and helping out. Another good day in our new home.

4E-197-Midyear-16th

We have now lived in the village for around 3 months. We have developed friends here. We now have roots here. we have history here. This is now our home. Baroth even said I am ready to move up in training after I became skilled enough to beat him. I have even begun to best the likes of Shagrol Gro Ghamonk in a dual. He is one of, if not the best swordsman in the village. I start training in their native armor this week. It is very heavy but I am up to the challenge. Falicia has also found a new passion in Alchemy. She has been harvesting ingredients and creating advanced potions I didn't even know about. We are in a good place.

4E-197-Midyear-30th

I have woken up again for the fourth time in the past few nights after a very vivid dream. It's the same dream every time I have it. I am on the edge of a mountain climbing up. But something keeps knocking me off the ledge, then I wake up. But every time It happens I get closer to the top. I feel like it means something and if it happens again I will try and reach the peak to see what the dream means. Falicia sleeps soundly by my side and was not disturbed by my waking. I will rite again when I get to the top and figure this thing out.

4E-197-Suns Heights-17th

Another sleepless night. I almost got up to the top of the mountain this time. But then a wave of fire came over me and burned me. It felt like when I was a child, and a mage hit me with a powerful fire attack and I blacked out. I woke up soon after the blaze hit me drenched in sweat. I got so close to figuring this out. It's now only a matter of time.

4E-197-Suns Heights-29th

Today was by far the hardest day of training yet. Between the Heat and the dreams I have been having it has become difficult to concentrate. But I made it thru the day anyway and celebrated the hottest day of the year with as much mead as I could drink. I figure if I drink enough there is no way I could wake up from my crazy dreams.

4E-197-Suns Heights-30th

The sun leaks in to my room after a very long nights sleep. Falicia is most likely out picking ingredients for today's lunch. It turns out I was correct in thinking the more mead I drank the better I would sleep. I think I am going to go for a morning swim since the colder part of the year will be fast approaching.

4E-197-Last Seed-20th

Tomorrow is going to be a big day. I have just returned from my first trip outside of the village since we arrived. I took a trip to Shornhelm to get Falicia a gift for her birthday, which is tomorrow. She had no idea I went as far as we did but i think my gift will warm her hart.

4E-197-Last Seed-21st

As I expeced she liked the gift I got for her but I could tell she just wished I would of brought her with me. She has been feeling homesick. I am as well to be honest. I miss my mother. I once again drown myself in mead to escape the negative thoughts.

4E-197-Last Seed-26th

The other villagers go to bed early tonight. There is a big hunt tomorrow. I shall drink thru the night and still catch as many elk as they. The mead here in the moutons is great because all you need do is open your window and place your glass outside to get it cold. The way I prefer it. I managed to shoot a hawk off the fence around the front entrance to the village from my cottage. Not a easy shot to make. Especially making the shot thru the window and after several rounds of mead. Then several rounds more.

4E-197-Last Seed-28th

Mead is great. Or maybe ale. It doesn't

7E-19Last Sed-29h

Falcia has stormed out for no reason. I had no idea what her is wrong.

4E-197-Hearthfire-19th

It has taken a lot to get me to write in my journal again. The drink had gotten the best of me. I nearly lost the only thing that matters to me right now and I will not let that happen again. Falicia has forgiven me and come back, but now that I have quit the drink the dreams have returned with a vengeance. I can barely sleep now. But I know I can reach the peak of the mountain. I know I can.

4E-197-Hearthfire-24th

I have made it to the top. But I did not expect to see what I saw at the peak. It was my father. He was near the ledge of a cliff so tall when you look down you see the top of clouds. He looks at me and points up towards the distance. He does not look and sais nothing. He Just stares at me and points. I look up and I see hundreds of wings creatures flying overhead. They are circling us. Then I woke up. Needless to say this was a strange dream. My dad was always talking about dragons before he left for Skyrim. Maybe that's why I am having these dreams. I think my father is still alive.

4E-197-Hearthfire-29th

We are taking a trip to the majestic city Northpoint. Falicia and I are going to accompany Baroth, Durbal and Agronak. Agronak is the local smith, and we are going to acquire materials for him and sell the prized Orcish armor that he has crafted. This will be Falicia and my first trip together since we ran away. It has been a while since we ran so people in Northpoint shouldn't recognize us. We will also be staying with family of Agronak so we can avoid the Inns. We will stay alert but we will have as much fun as we can. Hopefully this will take my mind off these reoccurring dreams.

4E-198-Rains Hand-13th

The trip could not have gone better. We encountered mild troubles with bandits on the road but traveling with three massive Orc warriors has its advantages. One of those is intimidating the enemy to avoid battle. When three bandits attacked us on the side of the road Baroth cut a one of them clean in two with a single swing. The rest of the bandits took off in fear. He spent the rest of the trip telling me how superior an Ax is to a long sword. My only regret is that I misplaced my travel journal so I lost some details about the trip. But Falicia had fun so I'm happy. Back in to my routine I go.

4E-198-Rains Hand-21st
I have now spent a little over a year at this village and I was trained by some of the strongest of the Orc warriors. Three days ago Durbal Gro Ghamonk accepted me as his personal apprentice. The training was harder than anything he had ever done before. It even surpassed my father's brutal training, but that is what made me want it so bad. I am starting to get how to move in heavy armor but it is still very difficult. Training leaves me exhausted so I most likely won't be writing too often.

4E-198-Midyear-1st

After only a few months I had become moderately skilled in heavy armor. How to use it in battle and how to be stealthy in it. As well as the proper use of a shield while using a sword. I finally feel as free as I did when I was with my father all those years ago. I am beginning to feel that bond with Durbal that I had not had since I lost my father. I am now 18 and I'm just began to adjusting to my new life and new friends. Durbal told me a story today about a battle he fought in many years ago. He, his master, and 3 others infiltrated a slave camp in Morrowind. They were there to free their comrade who had been enslaved but also, to kill all the slavers so it never happened again. They killed as many slavers quietly as they could but then when the excitement of the less disciplined slaves got to loud it woke the slavers. A huge battle broke out. After the dust settled one member of their group lay dead but all the slavers had be killed. It made me wonder why the Imperials allowed slavery at a point in time.

4E-198-Midyear-11th

The Dreams have calmed down. Falicia and I are doing much better. Yet I feel like something is looming in the distance. Everyone says I am just being paranoid but I can't shake the feeling. Maybe my mother is in danger. Maybe my father is alive somewhere and needs my help. Maybe it is just from the brutal battles I have been involved in at such a young age. Exhaustion sets in as I prepare for sleep with Falicia.

4E-198-Midyear-13th

The nagging feeling has left me restless. As I write in the journal late at night I wonder if this is natural or is something trying to warn me. Unfortunately there is no way for me to be sure. The dreams have stopped but why? Nothing has changed so what did they mean. I just try to take it one day at a time. Falicia has began to understand what I am going for and has told me to have a ale and relax. This time It won't get the better of me.

4E-198-Midyear-15th

Falicia and I out drank the Gro Grat`s tonight. I did not know she could put ale away like that. And neither did Baroth. This is a tremendous accomplishment. We shall celebrate. All night.

4E-198-Midyear-18th

Falicia and I have been having such a grand time this past week. She now loves ale as much as I used to but we manage to keep each other in check. We had a huge bonfire last night with all the villagers present. They were celebrating the return of Bashuk and Gramen. They had be away longer than we had lived here. They had been on a journey to Black Marsh to track down a traitor of Orsinium. We stay in the guest room of Baroth since Falicia and I were using Gramens hut this whole time. Tomorrow we start construction of our very own hut at the top of hill. It is very exciting time.

4E-198-Midyear-21st

The hut is being constructed at a faster pace than I expected. We should be able to move in to it at the end of the month. Falicia and I share a large mead before we get ready for sleep. We really were meant for each other.

4E-198-Midyear-24th

As we put the final touches on our cabin Durbal welcomes me in to their group. He said I am no longer a apprentice, I am a brother. I am honed to join them and be considered a elite member of their organization. The ale and Mead will flow freely tonight. Falicia and I might have to show Gramen just how much we really can drink.

4E-198-Midyear-27th The Last Page of Danuses Journal

This will be the last entry in the journal. The tragedy that has been inflicted upon me has cracked my world in two. I can't make sense of what happened. Even several days after the events took place. The Other morning as I stepped outside in to the cool crisp air I looked at the sunrise lighting the main road out of the village. That's when I saw the outlines of what looked to be at least 30 men. Most were imperial men in heavy armor. They look like members of the imperial guard. This being a highly rare occurrence I called out to the villagers and in what seemed like no time at all, The villagers appeared in a line in front of the entrance ready for battle. Seeing the way they reacted instantly, I got a bad feeling about the situation, but got in to position next to them anyway. When the men came in to ear shout I recognized the sniveling voice that was speaking. It was my swine stepfather Andil, and he was condemning all the Orcs , which he called beasts, to death for the murder of myslef and Falicia. As I screamed out in protest to explain that it was a huge mistake and I was in fact Danous Wulf. The captain gave out the order to attack the Orc villagers. I was in shock, even though Andil saw me and herd me protest he just stood there, not stopping a thing. Time seemed to slow down and sound muffled as I saw that some of the men reddy there bows and others start charging towards me and my new family.

As I snapped out of the shock I moved out of the way of a incoming soldiers blade and jammed my own blade in to the man's exposed neck. As the man fall to my side I turned to see the villagers make quick work of the first wave of soldiers as well. But the second is right on their tail, and now archers have opened up on us. I lift a small practice shield and block any incoming arrows, but two other villagers aren't as lucky as three of the arrows find there mark and hits two Orcs, killing one of them instantly. The Orcs are superior warriors but we are outnumbered. Durbal calls out for us to move back to the main hall witch for now is out of the range of the archers. But before we could move the second wave of soldiers crashes in to our shields. This next wave outnumbered the villagers two to one. I parried my enemies attack and uses the momentum take off the man's leg from the knee down, and then I throws my short sword in to the left eye of the second approaching soldier that was steps behind the first. I take out my dagger and finishes off the first one legged imperial with a blow to the back of the neck. But as I make the finishing blow I am hit in the back with a arrow shot from the now approaching archers. I turn to look to my fellow warriors but this time we did not fare as well, two more villagers lay dead and all of them are injured in some way. Agronak the mighty has fallen but not before he took out three imperials. Sixteen mercenaries now lay dead and not a single one broke thru. We remake the line now with only 5 warriors. Another group of arrows crash in to us as the next wave of men prepares to charge us. This is when I hear the scream I will never forget. I turns around to see Falicia on the front steps of the hall, hit in the ribs with an arrow. I couldn't. I couldn`t protect her.

Time slowed down again as I see a shadow pass over My own and I react by turning back only to see Durbals Ax come down on the head of a approaching soldiers, splitting it in two. My teacher Durbal saved me from a blade to the back, but because he did that he left himself exposed and with the soldiers right on top of us, a sword tears thru his chest peace as if it was cloth. Durbal drops the Ax and turns to the attacking soldier, grabs the man's hand and crushes it on to the hilt of the blade that he was just struck with. He then slowly slides the blade out of his abdomen and then jams it in to his attackers kidney, then takes his free hand and grabs the man by the throat and snaps his neck, all while Shouting his war cry. He yells for me to run and take Falicia to safety. He said that the remaining villagers will be able to handle the rest. I knew it was the best chance I had to make sure that Falicia was ok, so I turned around and ran to her. She was hurt bad but she was still awake and could walk. As I struggled to get her out of immediate danger I hears Andil give a command to the archers.

"Quickly aim at the two cowards who are trying to escape"

I was horrified as I helplessly watched the archers turn towards me and Falicia. I holds MY shield up over her and tries to block her body with his own but it proves to be futile. Even thou I blocked 5 arrows from getting thru 3 arrows struck me in the leg, ribs, and neck. One arrow struck her in the chest. We were both mortally wounded. I fall over to the ground but as I do that I believe I broke off the points of the arrows. The pain was unlike anything I had ever felt. My darling Falicia thinking quickly ripped the rest of the arrow out of my neck and began to heal my wound. The world around me began to fade. I have already lost a large amount of blood. When she starts to do the same to the wound on my back I kiss her and fall unconscious. I don't no how but she managed to save me and heals my wounds before she succumbs to her own.

As I woke up and sit up a moment later I began realizing what just happened and how close I came to death. Then I see Falicia lying there motionless and then it hits me. She just gave her life for me. She could of used the time she had to heal herself but she healed my instead.

I look back and the battle is not over, the Orcs were putting up a fight. Almost all the remaining mercenaries are engaged in battle with the villagers and it left two archers, the captain and my stepfather alone. Despite the injuries in my leg and ribs I stagger to my feet and I make a mad dash at my stepfather. The archers see me coming and start to take shots at me but I make them miss. I pick up a big shield off one of the dead men as well as a long sword. I block the next wave of arrows with my shield and then I come face to face with the first archer. The archer drops his bow and pulls out a glass dagger and as he crouches foreword to make his move I move in and swing my sword. I clip his right shoulder and he drops to the ground. I then throw my shield at the next archer and knock him down. There is now nothing standing between me and my stepfather. When I get closer to him I flip the sword around as if it was a spear aiming for his neck. Just as I jumped in to the air to make the kill, Andil hurled a wave of ice that sent me and even the two archers flying back. I land hard and almost as quick as the first attack came Andil casts the second attack, this time a bolt of lightning. I was barely able to pull one of the archers in the path so I am not directly hit by the spell, but I am still thrown back even further.

Disoriented and injured I stagger back to my feet and hear Durbal yell. I turns to see Durbal in the process of taking out 2 soldiers with a single strike with his ax, taking 1 of their heads clean off. Another Orc villager, Gulfim blocks a attack with his war axe and stabs the imperial in the chest with his point of his long sword which he had in his other hand. The Orcs had prevailed, even though four lay dead. But twenty three men of the attacking forces lie dead, and the remaining men were starting to retreat, passing by me on their way back to Andil and their captain. Durbal and the two remaining villagers lined up next to me swords drawn. I bet Andil could not believe the Orcs could defeat his mercenaries. Andil screamed "There just mindless beasts". When he realized he couldn't motivate the men to continue the fight and he saw the line of battle scared Orcs, his true colors began to show and he began run as well. I fell back to my knees exhausted by what just happened. We were all in bad shape but I was able to use what little I had learned from Falicia to slowly heal everyone.

Today I buried Falicia. It has been the hardest day of my life. I have made a pact with Durbal, Gulfim, and Baroth to hunt down and kill Anil Rumer and the other men for what they did to us. This battle has changed my life. I can never be the same. I knew I had to expose and kill my stepfather for what he did. They all must pay. To move a large force like that, this high in to the mountains is no easy task. We will have the speed advantage. I leave this journal with Falicia. This last entry ends the best chapters of my life.

(End of Journal)

The wood elf slowly closes the journal and sheds a tear of remorse for his friend. He knows that if there was anyone who didn't deserve such a fate it was Danous. He recounted the good times they would have hunting in the woods and cave diving in the higher mountains. Ha had managed to finish the journal by midday and decided to go to a nearby town. As he steps in to the tavern and orders a mead he picks up the final journal and begins to read it.

Journal of the Wulf (Danous Wulf)

4E-198-Midyear-28th

With the tracks of two of the soldiers in my sights I speed in to the woods trying to track them down. I close the distance in no time. I spot two members of the group who attacked my village. One of them turns to see me hot on his trail and he quickly turns around to holds his ground. The Imperial hurls a fire ball at me but I simply put up my arms and shake off the blast. It burns my arms but that only made things worse for the Imperial. I unsheathe my dagger and stopped within striking distance. I wait for the Imperial to make his move and when he dose I plunges my blade in to the man's wrist making him drop his weapon. As quick as I jam my blade into the soldiers wrist I slide it out and in one motion slit his throat. The other soldier never stopped and left his comrade for dead. He made it some distance before he saw me gaining on him. He however did not know I was adorned in the dead imperials armor. His guard was dropped so he stopped running and approached me. As I remove my helmet to reveal myself, the imperial sees a furious man covered in his comrades blood with hate in his eyes. The soldiers hesitates and then the fear takes him over and he takes off. I let him get 10 yards..... I draw my bow ... 20 yards..... I equip an arrow.... 30 yards... Then I let my arrow fly all the way in to his lower back. I approach the injured man but he has enough fight left in him to shoot a fire ball at me. These Imperials must all get there spells from the same weak mage as it does nothing but irritate me more. I get close enough to question the man. After I motivate him with my blade, he gave me the names of the men in the company and the Capitan that attacked the village. I now have what we need. I spend an extra hour with the man making sure his trip to oblivion was as painful as I could make it. I regroup with the remaining villagers at dawn.

4E-198-Midyear-29th

Gulfim and I decided to make our way to Wayrest to get my mother while Durbal and Baroth make their way to Evermor to intercept the Imperial captain. We gave our good graces and set out early this morning. Making good time we should reach the outskirts of Wayrest tomorow. Then I will make sure my mother knows the truth and Andil pays for what he did.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-1st

My childhood house lay burnt to the ground. Almost as if it burnt down months ago. My mother is not here. We arrived late at night so all I managed to find some cooking pots and some of my dad's old journals. We must head to Wayrest in the morning. I have a rotting feeling inside that I can't shake.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-2nd

At first I was in denial. I thought we should go to Wayrest and find what new home my mother moved in too. When we arrived we were almost instantly met with hostility since Orcs aren't too popular in Wayrest. We made it in to the local tavern and I spot my old Bosmer hunting buddy Morth at the end of the bar. We didn't even get four paces in before three Wayrest guards come in the tavern behind us. Gulfum raises his dual war Axes and stands behind me as I draw my mother's Elvin dagger. I recognized two of the guards. One a middle aged Breton named Roderic my father used to know. The other a young Nord named Daglin who I also went to class with. At first they don't recognize me, Until I mutter the words "first man to tell me what happened to my mother gets to walk away". The old Breton instantly realized who I was and lowered his guard. But Daglin and the unfamiliar guard responded to the threat with action and they engaged us in battle. Daglin swings his blade at me but I deflect it. I knock him back and protest. I tell them that we are only looking for my mother. Then when Daglin said what he said, the reality set in. His words were "why would I tell the murderer where the body is". It all came crashing down. I still don`t know how I did what I did but I shouted out in anger. I wasn't even making sense but what I said spawned a wave of energy so great it sent the two guards crashing clear thru the tavern window. As everyone stood still, all in shock of what just happened, Roderic says he has something important to tell me about my parents. I disarm him and Gulfim holds him up against the wall. I calmly ask him who murdered my mother. He says he does not know, But he might know something about what happened to my dad. He said if he starts now they won't have time to escape and will be caught and he and I would be put in jail. Despite my urge to kill everything in sight I took his word and let him down. I wait now in the spot he told me to wait. It is up to him if he lives through the week.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-3rd

Today as I awoke to the sound of an arrow striking my shield. Gulfim is no wear in sight. I rose to action but I could not locate my enemy. A voice comes from above. "You are slipping Danous, how could you let the likes of me sneak up on you". To my surprise it was not a group of guards but my old friend Morth. "You never were a morning person Hu Danous" he said. We spent the morning talking about hunting and old times. It was refreshing seeing someone from my past. He has a very unique sense of humor. It almost took my mind off of what Roderic said at the tavern.

That is until he showed up, alone as we had agreed. Even though he kept his word what he had to say did not help me like he claimed. He started babbling about dragons and ancient Nord warriors. He says my father went to Skyrim to find something about a lost power. Apparently the very power I displayed in the tavern. Roderic claimed that he was there the night my father left. He said that the nature of his disappearance was suspicious but someone pulled some strings to call off the search. The reason Roderic did not come to tell us about my father personally was because he went to Skyrim to keep searching for him. He started up again about what I did in the tavern.

While the tavern was a strange incident it has nothing to do with my parents. Hee could not answered my questions about were my father is or how my mother was killed. I cut him off and forced him to tell me where Andil was. I told him the story of what that rat did. He said he did not know for sure but he heard that he has returned to Daggerfall. He asked if he could help avenge my parents but I told him to return to Wayrest. I told him he should not get caught up in what I am getting ready to do. He agrees and wishes me the best of luck.

I do my best to convince Morth of the same but after explaining how he has spent his last 2 years at the bottom of a ale mug, living in the middle of the wilderness, he convinced me. Besides it would help to have another expert hunter and bowman on my side. Tomorrow Gulfim returns to the village to inform Durbal and Baroth about Andil`s location. Morth and I head for Daggerfall to scout the prey.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-8th

We have reached the outskirts of Daggerfall. Traveling with Morth has been refreshing. He is a highly gifted hunter and tracker and has a much lighter mood than the Orc warriors. His skills with a bow can rival almost anyone in Highrock. We joke about old times and our old group of friends. He tells me of my old hunting group and what happened to them. But the mood takes a turn when we talk of how much had changed. Despite being one he constantly bashes the Bosmers. Joking about his own race is how he breaks the tension. But then he tells me what everyone thinks happened the night we ran away.

Apparently we went out for a late night escapade when a group of Orc bandits captured us and were trying to get a ransom. Andil claimed he found multiple ransom letter for my mother. When the truth came out, I realized that Andil received my mother's family fortune. This is why my mother was murdered. It was the same man who gave the ordered that killed Falicia. We will sneak in to the city tonight. Andil has signed his own death warrant. I will feel his last breath as I take it from him. I'm going to cut his damn head off.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-9th

We made our way down the dimly lit alleys of Daggerfall and come across a beggar. A few gold later we know exactly where Andils house is. However we were unable to get anywhere close enough to his massive house because there was a twenty foot wall surrounding the property with only two entrances. Morth was able to cast a detect life spell so we now know where Andil sleeps. The swine spent all my family's money on his own personal army. He has ten guards on the surrounding perimeter. At Morth said he had 6 more on the inside. The ones on the inside of the wall are most likely highly trained killers. Far more experienced at killing than the half committed weekday solders that we fought at the village. Andil must of learned from his mistake. We must now wait for my brothers to have the numbers needed to break in to the palace. Andils death couldn't come soon enough.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-9th

As we wait for my brothers, Morth and I go on a hunt for food and supplies in IIessan Hills north of Daggerfall. Morth has vastly improved as a hunter far beyond my own skills. By the time I got back to camp and he had more than double the amount of game I had. Every time I meet back up with him he greets me with a arrow shot that lands no more than a foot away from me. He likes to show off his skills with a bow.

As we were preparing our meal he stopped suddenly and shoots a arrow in to the sky. At first I was confused but it turns out he hit a hawk over 50 feet in the air. He catches it as it falls and screams "Breakfast!" Needless to say I did not regret bringing him with me on my journey.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-11th

Today about an hour after I woke up I was attacked by two guards who stumbled on to our camp site. They did not attack at first, just walked up to strike a conversation. The guard I was talking to did not recognize me at first so I thought I could play it off. But when the High Elf up on the path behind him saw me he drew his bow and aimed it at me. I had just woke up and had not yet put on my armor. So one shot from this bow and I'm done. The Breton guard in front of me took out his sword and told me to slowly walk towards the Mer. As I take my first step I see an arrow strike the Mer in the neck and the arrow hits the ground. He drops instantly but the guard in front of me did not hear it so I drew my Elvin dagger. I tried to tell him not to attack but he came at me anyway. I doge his attack and slashed at his arm but he moved out of the way. He charged at me sword raised above his head but as he did Morth fell from a nearby tree and in mid air shot the Breton in his exposed ribs. He falls over and clutches his side. I halfheartedly yelled to Morth "why did you had to kill them". He replied "I told you last night I was going to be hunting for breakfast in the morning". Morth again pokes fun at his Bosmer stereotypes. I asked the dying guard why they attacked me. It turns out they were just on patrol and the Mer recognized me from a old wanted poster. We remain undetected and we gained weapons armor and a map of Daggerfall. This map with make planning our path to Andils house much less dangerous. My brothers should get here any day.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-12th

My brothers arrived this evening. We caught them up with that happened and what we found. They told me that the captain and remaining soldiers were transferred to Hammerfell. We decided the best plan was to have Durbal and Baroth attack from the front. While Morth and I scale the walls and I try to get to the roof from the outer wall. Morth will cover me with his bow from the outer wall. Gulfim will wait for the guards in the rear to go help the guards engaged with Durbal and Baroth out front. He will then sneak in to the back and help me with the guards inside. We agreed that anyone killed or captured is on their own, as this is a likely a suicide mission. "If the job is done and you have a chance at escape take it and travel to Hammerfell and kill as many of those solders as you can". We do this tonight. If this is my last night use this journal to find the graves of four dead innocent Orc villagers. My old journal explains what happened and why Andil had to pay for what he did and why we won't stop until he's dead. It is buried next to the grave of my wife Falicia.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-13th

I barely made it out to write this next passage. I have taken refuge in a small cave. I must lay low for a few days. I do not know all the details but I will do my best to log what happened on the 11th. We set out for the city late at night. We said our goodbyes and set out to execute our plan. Morth and I climb a nearby tree and sneak over the city wall undetected. We slowly make our way to the best spot to climb the wall. Morth mutters "Whys the short guy gotta get you up a damn wall" as uses his bow to shoot a light, hook rope over the wall. The crafty Mer always trying to lighten the situation. I go up first and Morth follows. We unhook the rope and make our way across the thin wall. We had to go all the way across the south wall and then turn and go half way down east wall to get to Andils personal chambers. As we make the turn we can see Durbal and Baroth engaged in battle with six guards. As we run past Morth nails three guards in the back of the neck without the other three seeing us on the wall. The guards begin to retreat inside as Durbal cracks a guards shield in half with his war Ax. We get near the window that Morth said was Andils. He takes the same rope and ties it to a custom arrow and shoots it in to the wall above the window. After the rope is secured I climb over and jump in to the window. I equipped my sword and shield and prepared myself.

The room was empty but this looked like the master bed room. I wait behind the door, as is the plan. The door swings open and a injured guard walks in and sits on the chair without saying a word. Behind him another guard walks in with Glass armor and a long sword. One of the personal guards no doubt. As he went for his sword Morth shot him from the wall thru the window in the neck. I didn't get a chance to appreciate the amazing shot he just made as two more guards walk in and another arrow whizzes by my head and hits the one on the left in the eye. The shot he just made stunned the unprepared guard so I was able to strike him down with a single blow. Morth braggingly yells from outside "oh so your finally doing some work around here" I turn to the injured guard in the chair, and he just slowly backs away and throws down his sword. I will continue to chronicle what happened tomorrow after I get some rest.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-14th

A moment goes by and then it happens. Andil enters the room with two huge Nord warriors. One was dawned in full Dwemer armor and would be unaffected by arrows. The other was wearing Chintin armor but had no helmet. They charge at me and I turned out to be right in going to attack the one in full armor since Morth nails the other Nord in the head with his impeccable aim. The Nord and I exchange blows for a moment. He was a very skilled warrior and all of the blows that landed were dulled by his armor. I was faster than him since I was in light armor so he could not land a shot on me. Then Gulfim bursts in through another door in the room and engaged the Nord in battle. I look at Andil and I loose my cool. I shouted multiple times "how does it feel!" "How does it feel to be trapped and know you're going to die for what you did to me and my family!". He claimed he didn't kill my parents.

I took my mother's enchanted dagger out because it was meant for breaking a mages shield. I charged at him but he summoned a fire atronach and it threw a flame spell at me. I had to drop the dagger and use my shield to block since this spell is much stronger than the ones the imperials threw at me. I take my long sword and spin out of the direction of the flames and takes the beasts head off. As I turn to Andil he throws a paralyze spell at me and it finds his mark. As I fall I see him equip dual lighting spells and start to walk towards me. I was wondering why Morth hadn't shot him yet but then I realized the he was shooting but the arrows were being deflected away from him. I needed my mother's dagger. Then Andil shot a lightning spell out the window at Morth. I don't no what happened but no more arrows came.

The Nord was a great warrior and seemed to be even with Gulfim as they traded blows. Then things got worse as another personal guard came in and they cornered Gulfim at the other end of the room. Andil looked towards me and started boasting about how I underestimated his power. He said he didn't lie about not killing my parents. He began ranting about when he and my father went to Skyrim. He claimed to be a genius for hiring the dark brotherhood to do it for him. He hired assassins to kill my mother and father. He said he had been planning it for years to get at my family's money. I was near the breaking point. When he said he had my mom killed ahead of schedule to save some money on the contract I snapped. The paralyze spell wore off and I involuntarily used that power again. I shouted something and a wave of energy shot foreword and throws Andil against the wall, but somehow he survives. He is dazed but gets up from the blast and starts to charges his spell but before he can send the spell my way Gulfims war Axes fly's out of nowhere and takes Andils left leg completely off. Gulfim had managed to kill the other guard and was fist fighting with the with the Nord. As I fully regain my movement I walked over to Andil who is trying to quickly heal his leg. I put a end to that by removing both his hands with my sword. He begged me to spare him. He said he would admit to everything. As I put my blade to his throat I said "it's too late for that". But the Nord bodyguard took note of his employers defenseless state and got past Gulfim and started to runs over to me. I get ready to defend myself but before the bodyguard got to me Gulfim tackled him out the very window I came in. I don't know the fate of Gulfim. But now that I had my chance I don`t hesitate and swing my sword towards Andils but he has put up a shield spell and my blade bounces off and out of my hand. He then tried to stall by spouting something about my hidden power and how he could help me unlock it. I responded by picking up my mother's Elvin blade which was enchanted with the spell breaker. Just then two more guards run in the room but they were too late. I sunk my blade in to Andils neck and cut his damn head off. The guards came at me with a glass long sword and a steel war hammer. I could not fight them off with my dagger so I ducked in between the two men and ran for the door. As I run out and head down a long hallway.

It has been a long day and no one has come to look for me. If I make it to the night I will log what happens next.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-15th

It is very early in the morning. So much so the sun will not rise for a while. I just finished eating my late dinner since I can only hunt at night. I have decided if no one discovers me today I will begin to make my way to Hammerfell when night falls. but for now I'll continue the story.

As I ran down the hall way with the guards gaining on me, I came to a balcony in a large room with Durbal and Baroth on the floor below. They were still engaged in battle with the outer perimeter guards as well as two of the personal guards. They were back to back and surrounded and close to being overwhelmed. I turn back to see the two guards, one a Dunmer in leather armor and a glass sword and the other a Redguard with steel armor and steel war hammer, closing in on me. So I decided to jump from the balcony to the lower lever and managed to drive my blade in to the guard that broke my fall. I put my dagger in to my left hand , then I pick up the guards steel long sword in my right. I fight off the guards on my sides and manage to get to the middle of the circle with Durbal and Baroth. We were surrounded and outnumbered 2 to one. I told them the job was done and that Andil had met his end. Baroth took his war ax and managed to hack a path to the front door while Durbal and I did our best to fend off the guards. We get outside and attempt to make our escape but we have a small mob of mercenary guard behind us. And now we have to worry about the town guard on top of that so it wasn't looking good. We head down an ally and then we decide to split up.

Baroth goes for the south exit while Durbal and I head for the north. We get half way up the road to the north gate when a group of guards making their rounds turn the corner up ahead. They see us running from the mob and charge to intercept us. We were trapped so Durbal throws his War hammer through the closest door and we head in to a blacksmiths house on our left. It is late so no one is on the first floor so I pick a ebony bow off the wall and got some arrows. I took aim at the door and told Durbal I will cover him while he breaks down the back door. I shot as the first guard came through the door and to my surprise the guard bursts in to flames and flew backwards. One more makes it in but I let the Mer behind him enter before I shoot. The powerful enchanted bow made quick work of the two guards. By this time the back door was open and Durbal got himself a new claymore so it was time to get out of there.

Two members of the city guard had made their way to the back to cut us off. One of them swing their sword at Durbal and when he blocks the blow the guards sword disintegrated in to thin air. Apparently we broke in to a very wealthy blacksmiths. I shot the other one with the bow and it has the same effect as before sending the guard flying back. Durbal then makes quick work of his opponent and we take off. We make it to the gate but parts of Andils mob and the city guard were blocking the way. We decide to head in to one of the guard towers that leads up to the top of the city wall. When we reached the top of the wall we tried to figure out the best spot to jump from. The fall from where we were would badly injure or kill us but the guards were on their way up so we had to think fast. We head down the wall looking for a way down but when we reach the next tower we are cut off by three archers. One on the wall path but the other two are at the top of the tower. They let loose on us and I managed to deflect one but I got a arrow in my right arm. Durbal was hit in the abdomen but he seemed unaffected and charged at the archers. Despite my injury I managed to shoot an arrow at the two archers on the tower. I hit my mark and sent both guards flying over the edge in a ball of flame. Durbal swings the sword and it goes right through the guards bow and armor. We go to open the door to the tower but it is locked. This door was much stronger than the one at the blacksmiths and we could not break through it. The mob has nearly reached us so I try to shoot at them but my wound is making it hard to aim so my first arrow dose not find its target. But my second shot dose and it sends four men flying back. Three more guards come at us but as Durbal blocks each shot our attackers weapons disintegrate. We tell them to run or die and surprisingly they actually run. Before we get a chance to regroup we saw two men making their way towards us.

The two men are wearing a Knights of the Dragon crest. This was very bad. The Knights of the dragon were known for being some of the best warriors in Daggerfall. Some say even all of Highrock. One was wearing full Elvin armor and had a Elvin long sword in one hand and an Elvin mace in the other and was sprinting towards us. The one behind him was a unarmed Khajiit wearing just a robe. I could barely get off a shot so I tossed the bow to Durbal and he shot at them. The Khajiit it turns out was powerful mage and deflected the arrows with precisely placed fire balls. He then sends a frost wall that slams us against the door. Durbal throws the bow to the top of the tower as it was only a few feet above our heads. He then grabbed me by the waist and with one arm threw me up the wall all the way to the top. I grab the bow and dig down deep and manage to get a shot off. I hit the approaching man in the armor, but it does not knock him back like the others. He just stumbled and kept running forward. Durbal engages him in battle but the claymore does not destroy the weapons or armor of the warrior. Durbal draws first blood but then he himself was hit. They go at it for a moment as I try to distract the mage. Durbal Manages to sever the man's hand holding the mace but as he did that he was impaled by the sword. Durbal then dropped his claymore and picked the man up and just tossed him over the side. But as soon as he finishes his opponent the mage hurls a powerful chain lighting spell and even thou I was on the tower he somehow managed to hit both of us. I am thrown back on to the ground and can't hear for a moment. When my hearing comes back Durbal yells out for me to flee and that there's no way for him to escape. As I look over the edge I knew he was right. The sword was still imbedded in him and it was in a bad spot. He charges the mage with his claymore and is hit with a vicious flame spell but makes it close enough to lop off the Khajiit`s head. He was near death but still taunted the mob that was watching the battle. The last thing I hear him shout is simple. "GO!" I will never forget what he taught me and what he did for me.

I take off down the wall and get near a part of the wall near a small tree that will lighten the fall. But to my surprise I saw the very Nord in full Dwemer armor that Gulfim tackled out of the window with two more guards. This made me fear the worst for Gulfim. I get to the tree before he dose and as he gets closer I aim my bow and shoot one last shot and it throws him back and the explosion kills the two he was with. I see him get to his feet as I jumped in to the tree and down to the ground. Luckily the stable was nearby so I headed in that direction. I got on to a horse and took off in to the night. I do not no what happend to Morth Gulfim and Baroth, but Durbal ... as much as it pains me to say, has fallen in battle to save my life.

I still have not been discovered. I think the guards went right past this small cave. I will rest until sunset and then begin my journey to Hammerfell. I have a powerful new bow that will hopefully help me in my travels.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-16th

I have made it half way to Camlorn. I need to stock up on supplies before I make my journey in to the moutons and back to the village. I hope that I meet my brothers there. If not then I must assume the worst and head off to Hammerfell to keep my word. I guess I knew that most of us were not likely going to survive but that doesn't really help. I am a wanted man and cannot return to a normal life in Highrock. Maybe ill travel to see more of Tamriel. I have always wanted to see the Imperial City. Or maybe the summerset Isles. Or maybe I can set sail for an entirely new continent, like Pyandonea, or see if the myths about Yokuda are true. Regardless I have a oath to honor, and I shall do my best to kill the captain that attacked me and my brothers at the village. For now I rest.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-18th

I have hit the road after a brief stop at Camlorn. If only I had the chance to truly appreciate the beauty of this city. It has buildings dating back to the beginning of the third era. I had to duck in and out of alleyways to be sure no one discovered my identity. The local blacksmith did not do a good job of security since even a novice like myself could break in. I was able to stock up on arrows and armor, but the best item I found was a ebony short sword with the ability to paralyze its victim for around 90 seconds, which is a long time for enchanted weapons. I found this out the hard way when I checked the blade on the tip of my finger. After staring at the wood floor for a minute and a half I was off to the village to meet up with my brothers.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-19th

I have made it to the village. But it seems after what we did in Daggerfall they came here and burned the village to the ground. It was either the imperial guard or some of the surviving personal guards of Andil or .... I don't no but this was recent. The burnt building were still smoking as if it was done last night. If Morth, Gulfim or Drubal were in the village when this happened they would of been greatly outnumbered even compared to the first battle. A massive group of tracks lead off as if they were headed north towards Shornhelm or Northpoint. The village is on the south side of the mountain so that means they would have to go around. I will try to cut across the top of the mountain to catch up to them. If they have my brothers I must try and help them.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-20th

So far I have been lucky in my travels. The warmer month had made my makeshift path over the mountain much less dangerous. But as I get higher and approach the peak there seems to be no way across and the weather has gotten bad. I made good time during the day but I spent all night trying to get across when a vicious snow storm hit. It is now late and I have taken shelter in this strange cave. There is a wall made of metal with a large chunk missing and inside there are these pipes going along the walls that as making a hissing noise. I can tell that it goes deep but it is late so I must get some rest before I can see if there is a way through the mountain to the other side.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-21st

It turns out I was right in assuming that the cave would go through the mountain and out to the other side. However I very wrong in assuming it was just a strange cave. I just barely made it out there alive. I need to keep moving and find the trail before it dries up but I shall document what I witnessed in that strange place when I can...

It is night now and I have found the tracks and caught up with the group who burned the village. They are camping in the valley below me. I can tell that they do have prisoners but they are well guarded so I need to pick my time to strike carefully. They are heavily guarded tonight so I shall make camp and document the metal cave.

When the snow storm got bad last night I had to find shelter to survive the cold. I entered a small hole in a rock wall and its brought me through a small cavern to a huge metal wall with a large gash like whole in the side. I rested in the cavern next to the metal wall for a moment. Then I entered the labyrinth hoping it would lead me to the other side. I travel through the halls for about an hour before I encounter a large metal creature. It was perched on a sphere and had a shield in its left arm and nothing in his right at first. I knew the creature did not see me but by some bad luck it turned and started approaching the corner I was hiding behind. I drew my shield and new ebony sword and prepared for the creature to strike. As it rolled in front of me it sent a spike shooting out of its right hand and even though I managed to divert the blow it pierced my shield effortlessly. I then duck to the left and go under my shield and connect my blade to the creatures neck. It has no effect and the menacing creature threw my shield to the side with such force it was imbedded in to the wall. It resisted the blades enchantment. The spike is thrown out at me once again and again I manage to make it miss. But this time the shield it was holding struck me in the face and I flew back. I could not believe my eyes when it slowly started to approach me and I noticed another one turning the corner. I took out my dagger in my left hand and attacked with my long sword in my right. I spun out of the way of the creatures attacks and jammed my poison tipped dagger in too the back of its head but my blade was just deflected off the superior metal of the creature. I made some distance between myself and the monstrosity but the other one was almost in striking distance. My only chance was my new powerful bow so I equipped it and took aim. I let loose on the metal creatures and then arrow finds its mark. The arrow which was infused with the magic of the bow explodes in the face of the creature and sent it flying back. But it was only for a moment as it immediately began to regain its balance. I decided now was the time to run but I had to get to the other side of the mountain. So I charged at the creatures and let loose several arrows to clear my path. The explosions knocked the creatures down but as I pass by the second one takes a swing at me with a sword coming straight out of its forearm. It was very easy for them to regain there balance but they were too slow so I was able to get away.

I was rushing through the halls trying to find a way out. Those creatures were behind me somewhere and I knew if there wasn't a way out I had to go through them again. Little did I know, there was something much worse waiting for me deeper in the metal maze. I will continue the story after I rest for the night and continue tracking the group.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-22nd

I have managed to track the group and they are indeed heading towards Shornhelm. I need to make my move before they get to the city. I will try and make my move late tonight while most of the men are sleeping. But if I cannot get close enough I will have to find a way to figure out who they are transporting. But for now I shall recount what happened after I managed to escape the odd metal creatures I met in the cave.

As I made my way through the hall I came to a big open room. I could see a lone door on the other side of the massive room so I tried to go as quickly as possible since I would be very exposed. I only get a few steps in the room before I hear a loud bang and I turn to see a giant version of the metal monstrosities I encountered earlier. It seemed to be made of the same metal the other were but it had two legs and was not on a sphere. It was also much larger and toward over me. I took off towards the door but the creature lifted its arm and started shooting arrows at me out of its arm. I get two shots off of my bow but it doesn't even stagger the creature. It also had a huge hammer on its other arm but it was not close enough to hit me. Luckily only one arrow skimmed me as I got through the door. However as I took a break to catch my breath the creature smashes through the door that was far too small for it to fit though. It seemed that no matter where I went the creature was able to smash its way to me. I had almost give up hope after I was cornered in a room with no escape. The creature approached me at a painfully slow pace but when it swung the hammer in my direction I was able to move out of the way and the impact created a huge hole in the wall that lead to a cave similar to the one I entered in. I took the opportunity and quickly hoped through the hole. I moved as quickly as I could and I made my way to the cave entrance. The strange thing was that the creature did not peruse me as intensely once I made it out of the metal cave. In fact it just stopped and froze in place.

If I am successful tonight and manage to rescue my brothers I have a strong urge to go back to that cave and figure out what I saw. I shall leave now to get in to position.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-23rd

I was unable to get close enough to release the prisoners. It is dark out but I managed to get close enough to identify my brother Baroth, who is one of the people being held prisoner. I was able to get close enough to tell they also have a Khajiit and a Nord being held prisoner. They spent the day getting closer to Shornhelm so I need to make my move soon.

I scouted ahead since I woke up early this morning. I found that the best chance I have at freeing my brother, is about ten minutes before they get to the city. If they stay on the same path they will have to cross a rope bridge that crosses a deep canyon. Otherwise they would spend another two days going around the canyon. My guess is they will try and make it tonight. I need to be stealthy and sneak up as soon as the carriage comes to the bridge. If my timing is off by even a minuet we will be outnumbered and most likely killed. Half of the guards will of most likely already of crossed the bridge, to assure the other side is safe. I need to cut them off and trap them on the other side. It's our only chance.

They still have not set up camp and it is late. They are taking a break but I suspect that they are going to try and make it to Shornhelm tonight. I must move now.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-30th

I manage to sneak ahead of their position without being noticed. I knew that as soon as I made a run for the cage, all the solders are going to swarm. So I decide to wait on a small ledge underneath the rope bridge. It was the only way I could get close enough to free my brother and arm him before we are noticed. I waited on the ledge for around three hours before they arrived. I waited until a majority of the escorts crossed the bridge and the prisoner carriage was about to be right on top of me. I made my move to open the gate that is holding the prisoners. Two men were guarding the gate as I approached. I drew my ebony blade and managed to surprise the first guard with a slash to the knee. He fell paralyzed on to the ground while the other guard unsheathed his blade. I tossed my shield and hit him in the face, then I quickly went to unlock the gate. As I open the cage and step in the Nord in the cage drew a hidden blade and put it to my throat. He revealed himself to be the same one that we fought in Daggerfall that was in full Dwemer armor. He laughed as he took everything I had and threw me in the cage. It was a trap. I fell right in to their trap. It turns out that they had started that caravan to bait Baroths friends in to attempting a rescue. I then witnessed the captain pay the Nord. I then realize the he wasn't a hired guard for Andil, he is a Bounty hunter.

I then spent the next six day on the road. First to Shornhelm to pick up more prisoners, then all the way back to Wayrest. Even though I was captured I was glad to see Baroth was alive. They put us on a boat to transport us to a supposedly inescapable prison on Betony island. But before the boat could leave the bay Moarth showed up with a daring rescue plan.

We have been on the run for a day now. We have taken refuge in a small gully that Morth new of. There is barely enough room for all of us but we are well hidden. We can't stay here long so we will get moving at dawn. I shall give more details on our escape in my next entry.

4E-198-Sun`s Height-31st

It was a beautiful day out as we boarded the boat. Much like it is today. There were five of us on the boat. Baroth, myself, a Khajiit named Dar, Rasha, a Argonian named Weeltul and a Nord who`s name I do not know. Our hands were shackled and there were six Legion soldiers on the top deck as we set sail. They line us up and the captain steps out of his room as we set off. He was wearing a custom Imperial heavy armor. He boasts about how he is the best transporter in the Legion and that if we tried anything he would simply kill us. We had only set off moments ago and could still see the city when the guard at the front of the boat got hit in the neck with an arrow and went overboard. Then the guard next to him dropped to the floor. Followed by the two guards standing behind the captain all killed in order so no one saw the other fall. But then the captain realized what was happening and quickly puts his helmet on. But before he could equip his blade Baroth grabbed him by his cuirass and tossed him overboard. He sank like a stone. Three guards come up from below so Baroth then jumped in himself. We all followed his example since we were not wearing armor and would not sink. Morth covered us for the coast line and took out any archers.

As we got to shore Morth was laying on a tree branch smoking a pipe. He said that he was going to get us before we boarded but the drinking contest he was in ran a little longer than he expected. He jumped down and broke my shackles. Then I broke Braoth`s and Morth broke Weeltul`s. But when Weeltul broke the Nords bonds he Grabbed the Argonian by the head and snapped his neck. Then he lunged at us but Morth put a arrow right in between the large grunts eyes. We do not know why he did it but Morth made him pay for it.

We made our way more inland and found a secluded spot in the woods were it would be hard to track us. Morth and Dar, Rasha should be back soon from scouting a way out. It will be a challenge to avoid the legion but we will have to find a way around them and make our way to the Hammerfell border.

4E-198-Last Seed-1st

We are completely surrounded. Every attempt we made to escape the area was met by a group of guards. Apparently we killed someone very important and they don't want us to escape. We make our way back to a secluded spot, covering our tracks in the process. We have to come up with something new in order to safely escape.

4E-198-Last Seed-2nd

The only way we can make it is if someone sacrificed themselves by making a distraction. There is talk of voting but I know it has to be me. This whole thing was because of me. I need to take responsibility and help my friends and brothers get as far away from my mess as they can. Baroth, Morth and Dar Rasha will make their way north as I steal a horse and head south, and I will make as big of a commotion as I can while doing so. Before I say my goodbyes set off, I go to my house on the outskirts of Wayrest. I shift through the rubble to see if anything remained. I discovered part of my father's journals. They were very badly damaged and almost unreadable. When I get back I entrust my father`s journal and my own to Morth. Hopefully I manage to escape and have the chance to read it. But if I am captured my journal cannot be on my person as it would incriminate my friends. Here go's nothing.

(End of Journal)

The Wood Elf named Morth puts down the journal. Morth lights his pipe again and sits back, pondering what his next move should be. He figures the best way he can honor his friend is to head for Skyrim, and search for his lost father. Morth new that Danous never believed his father had died, and was planning on one day searching for him. He steps outside and starts to head for the border to Skyrim.
The End
Danous indeed created a big enough distraction that gave his friends enough time to escape. But he was captured and was shipped off to a new prison on Betony island for his sentencing. Danous had to stay in that prison for a year and a half, pondering his own fate. That was until the day he found out the identity of captain that was on the transport ship. Toutius Luther, the one who Baroth tossed overboard and drowned, was the son of a very influential man in Imperial army. Reberio Luther is a high ranking general in the Legion and is involved in the civil war in Skyrim. Reberio has spared no expense to be sure Danous will be shipped off to Skyrim so he can witness his execution personally. Despite Reberio`s intervention Danous wound up getting mixed up, and put on the wrong carriage. However when he wakes up he is on a carriage in Skyrim and is still on his was to his execution.

Name | Merihem
Race | Argonian

Born and raised in the swampy region of Black Marsh, Merihem didn't necessarily have a tough upbringing, but he was made to work for what he had, often out with his father for days on end been taught about the world around him, profuse with poisonous plants and deadly predators, it was the perfect place for him to learn right from wrong, often hunting game of all sizes with nothing more than an old wooden bow, makeshift arrows and a rusty knife he called a dagger.

Twenty one years after his birth the slave trade within Black Marsh had spread thick and fast and was soon upon his family, ordered to leave by his father to avoid the same fate, Merihem did just that, rather than retreating to Helstrom with his race, he ventured of in an unknown direction with nothing more than the old wooden bow and knife that had seen him through his youth.

After long days walking the rugged terrain and sleeping rough, gone was the endless marshland and dangerous plant life he was used to, instead, snowy tundras, pine forests and arctic plains surrounded him.

"You lost boy" a voice said softly, greeting him, a tall Nordic man in his late sixty's, who to say Merihem was a definite outsider, seemed awfully friendly. After explaining the situation the man offered Merihem some shelter and food, which given his last few weeks, he wasn't going to turn down.

A god awful bang awoke Merihem, everything was a blur, men piled into the building, dressed head to toe in armour donning swords and shields, picking Merihem up from his bed and throwing him to the floor, crawling for the door, he felt a thud on the back of his head, followed by another, and another, then he saw black.

Slowly coming around, Merihem released he had been taken prisoner, and was on the back of a cart, four others in the same situation.

"Where are we going" Merihem slurred

"Helgen" replyed one of the prisoners.....
