Who's not getting the game at launch?

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 4:57 pm

I ordered the game off Amazon and did the free shipping so i'm probably not getting the game for almost a week after launch. Who is not gonna have the game at launch and will try to stay away from sites like this until they've played the game?

Why did you not just get it from a local gaming store?

Cause I'm cheap. Amazon gives a 10$ gift certificate as well as free shipping. Plus I bet a good patch or two will be released to fix some bugs while I'm waiting.

I'm getting my copy of Skyrim for my birthday, which is on the 18th. So I'm getting it pretty much a week after it is launched as well.

You sir , are a wise man.

You are also a optimist. Unless your post delivery is via mule service, I doubt significant patches will arrive in time to win your bet.
But, hey, I could be full of Pelosi.

I would have waited too, had I listend to my little voice of experience. Yet again I ignore it with the full knowledge that this game
will probably have the typical Bethesda Release issues of their prior games. FNV (PC version) wasn't in working condition, to my satisfaction, until
MONTHS after it was released. I remember giving up on it in mid December due to issues and not returning to it until summer when things were much better.

I hope this release isn't as iffy and whatever 'issues' we find will be fixed on a faster time track.

My birthday is also on the 18th, but I'm considering Skyrim an early present to myself.

You magnificent bastard.

Personally, I'm a cheap bastard so I'm gonna wait a few weeks until the price spontaneously drops in some random store.

It's only free if you have amazon prime. When you have amazon prime and select two day shipping, it gives you release date shipping instead.
