So like most people here I'm sitting here counting the hours until midnight so I can play some Skyrim but reading some of these threads it seems like some people already have the game. Just curious how they managed that, did they order online and Amazon (or whoever) shipped it early, or do they have the inside hook ups?

People got it through pirating the game, people got it because of the different region they are in (which is [censored] for us in the U.S.) and people got it a few days early on PS3/Xbox 360 because the stores were selling it earlier then they were supposed to.

They honestly just need to unlooock it :<

It's been 11/11/11 for almost 10 hours now in New Zealand, and 8 in parts of Australia.

I got the game early because i pre-ordered it and it came today. Still have to wait till midnight because of steam.

Got my copy 9 hours ago, still over 3 hours to midnight though.

But from what I've been reading on these forums, not just general, I'm not expecting too much (PC version).

Some online stores do ship early to ensure people get it on release day (Though usually ends up arriving before)

Some stores broke the street date, which if I understand also breaks the contract they have for distributing the game.

Steam has activated the game for some countries that have hit 11.11.11 first. New Zealand and Austrailia as examples. Activation is by midnight for each countrry as opposed to everyone being unlocked midnight PST.

There's also the usual pirates who claim to be fans but will deny the devs their hard earned money.

Many stores sold it in error on Tuesday, since games are usually released on a Tuesday.

Heh, I'm an American, you know the world doesn't exist outside our boarders. Nah, I'm just a time zone noob I didn't realize it was already tomorrow in other places. It's only 4pm on the East Coast.

I've got it, as do many others.

Some of my mates here in the same city are already playing. Not sure how. Still, I'm waiting for tomorrow morning (it's 2050hrs here). svcks that being a huge fan and pre-ordering a year ago, waiting anxiously for the correct date, and being branded the biggest Elder Scrolls nerd by almost everyone I know, lands me feeling like I'm the last person to be playing it, when I thought I'd be one of the luck first.

Oh well. Time to watch a movie and go to sleep I think. Skyrim will be ready for me tomorrow, at which point I'll cease caring about such trivial details.

If you pre-ordered from Game in the UK you got it a day early, i was one of those lucky people
