What settingsFPS can I expect?

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 10:42 pm

Hey guys, what settings and FPS could I expect to run on? I've heard people with 580's have dipped to 30fps, which bewilders me.

I have:
ATI Radeon 5870
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz
4GB RAM
1920x1080
Windows 7 64-bit

Thanks!

You will probably be getting smooth frame rates on max in my opinion. Skyrim isn't as demanding as most people were expecting. If a 580 is dipping to 30 frames per second on Skyrim then it's probably overheating issues or the system getting bogged down with other things. That GPU is more than enough for Skyrim.

If you're right then that's brilliant news. I'm hoping for 60+ fps.

Edit: I could care less about Anti Aliasing etc, so hopefully I can expect quite a fluid game?

Unless I am out of the loop Nvidea cards seem to be having the issues, ATI cards do fine. You will be able to get very high at least without lag (aka ultra) maxed is questionable (that with AA at max)

Yeah I'm more than happy to play without AA.

Apparently if you have a GTX 580 you can expect 40 FPS at 1920 x 1080 at max settings... so good luck.

Thanks for this answer. I have better GPU than OP (Radeon 6870) and will play on slightly lower resolution, so max setting for me :celebration:

You are in the wrong forum, and you duplicated a master thread unnecessarily:
