So I went and preordered Skyrim from a local Gamestop two weeks ago. Never preordered anything in the past, I just put in the minimum $5 when they asked.

Now I got a text today from the store stating that it will release at 12:01 and to "Arrive 10pm Thursday to finalize payment". What does this mean, do I have to go and pay today if I was planning to pick it up Friday afternoon? I've never preordered before and am not sure if that means I'll lose my preorder if I don't pay by today, was going to just pay it when I get it and take just the one trip afterschool Friday.

No that is only if you want to pick the game up at the midnight launch... so you can pay it off whenever you want to get the game

ohman is correct. For pre orders in store, if you have a registered cell phone or email address they send the info to it. I got info for on both. They usually send those out because alot of big name releases come out and people who pre order in store usually go for the midnight release. But, ALL items have a 48 hour hold, so you can kick back til the last second, if you wanted, but I wouldnt recommend it

Yupp no problem and have a blast when you do get it because it is a great game
