Ok... I have been awake for over 24 hours, half of that play

Absolutely no spoilers about content, but here are some things I like and dislike.

LIKES:
- The music!!! There is absolutely no debate here... This is Jeremy Soule's finest work ever. It is just astounding. The music you've heard in the official trailers is NOTHING to what you will shortly hear. One song was so serene and melodic, I stopped, and just listened and got teary. Yes. I have never ever had my eyes start to water from video game music before, but Jeremy Soule can now proudly claim he pulled my heart strings in a simply breathtaking way. Think Lord of the Rngs film music, but more.... And better. It's perfection.

- The difficulty!!!!!! Write a note guys, huge success! Bethesda have returned to the difficulty/levelling of Morrowind. I walked far to the north as a level 3 player and got my [censored] kicked by things FAR stronger and deadlier. I also can't kill guards. They are way too strong. I am a low level player and I feel weak..... JUST as I should be. No more of Oblivion's crazy ass stupid enemy levelling. There are heaps of places that if you go as a low level player you WILL die within moments of being attacked. The wilderness is far too difficult and big scary things are killing me with one hit so I have to stick to the cities for now and do basic quests to get stronger.... It's RPG levelling perfection.. (Yes, I am playing on master - the hardest difficulty setting butt the challenges still apply to all difficulty settings)

- Magic overhaul is great, the holding down to cast/recharge is really good. Magic is a lot more fun
.

DISLIKES:
- Melee combat. Sorry folks, buts it's more like Oblivion combat 1.2, not Oblivion combat 2.0.

- Navigating the menus on PC is awful. This upset me. I basically had to completely remap half of the key to put them in their intuitive spots and you will too. But The problem? That only fixes half of the issues. There are just major inconsistency issues here. For example..... A dialog box appears "Are you sure" ? you'd think hitting enter would be "OK"right? Like every other game or application in existence? Nope. It does nothing. Oh wait for it -. For some it does. Some dialog box require hitting enter, others require the Y key or N (and you don't really know which are which). it's a jumbled mess. Some of the inventory lists on the side can be scrolled with the direction keys, yet others can't. If its an inventory list where you are sharing with a follower, despite it being the EXACT same inventory list you have to use the mouse scroll only!!!! It's just bizarre. Very erratic. It's like the PC controls were designed by two people who did half each without ever communicating to the other. Mouse isn't at all used, the menus are definitely WASD optimized so practice moving around it with WASD. Just to give an example of ow messy the PC menu controls are.. You have to click E to select the item, R to see what it looks updated, Y to confirm. That might not sound like a mess, but just wait. Oh,and it's all too huge. Console text.

So yeah.... PC Interface definitely needs a gigantic mod overhaul.

Lastly..... Unfortunately I am getting somewhat skeptical about this "70 voice actors" ... Because wait for it.... All the guards across the entire land have the same voice. Yes. Even Oblivion had a couple. There is ONE voice now. (At least for the 4 or so cities I have visited). It gets worse.... Even some of the Jarls have the same voice. And look way too similar. There are only 9 jarls in the game.... and Bethesda couldn't even get these 9 unique characters to have unique voices, despite being important politicl figures! It's supremely disappointing. Oh, and I walked past three NPC women and they all spoke in the same voice to me. *sigh* so yeah...

Anyway... That was a good insomnia rant while I have a short break..... Thanks or reading!! Not long now for you guys!

It's a shame to hear the Jarls not having unique voices. Whilst I understand it's hard to voice a large amount of important characters, how could they not do 9? I am planning at least 20 distinct voices for the nobles in my mod! Come on Beth...

You are lucky, I can't even get into the game, hit the play button and get 'This game is currently unavailable, please try again at another time'.

Has to be about the worst service to date.

/Sigh..

PC Controls were one of my biggest concerns since I didn't like the Oblivion PC mechanics in menus and such (played first on Xbox, then PC). But like that game I will just have to adapt, and I'm sure some nice mods will come in due time. :)

Have fun my friend, I will be there in 3 hours!
