Gore !

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 1:10 am

I love gore in Fallout. Love seeing someone's head explode from a critical shot from my .357 magnum. But I don't like random gore like with the Bloody Mess perk, because then it just becomes spam.

In the trailer, I saw a nice CRUNCH and the axe actually went into their skull. That's so cool !

I hope that there is a setting to turn it on and off.

It's not that I want to turn it off, but rather I'm hoping that the video that I watched hopefully had damage turned off since there was very very little if any damage being done.

Things like hitting a body and you'd get a splat of blood, but there would be no damage to the actual body, be that body human, or animal, both which would surely gash open when a sharp sword comes slicing down on it.

I guess what I'm saying is, I was not really all that impressed with the damage or lack there of to the enemy models, other than another video with occasional heads being blown off, I just wasn't seeing any real gore to the average encounter and that was a shame as it pulls you out of any immersion into the game you might have managed to obtain.

I don't believe there is but that scene is only in the opening once and any other dismemberment only takes place if you take the perk for it.

Dude, if you don't like gore then just hit them with a magic staff with glitter on it. There you go.
