I want to be a pure mage and do nothing but use spells and shouts. But I don't know if I want to be a High Elf or Breton. Which should I choose for my liking?

To the OP:

If you want to be a pure mage, I'd recommend Altmer (High Elf).

they get a 50 magicka bonus and they're daily racial spell is amazing for spell-casting.

They also have all spell skill bonuses.

Breton would be my 2nd choice maybe, but Altmer is best imo.

argonians are good illusionists that and being able to breath underwater opens up all sorts of tactical options

High Elves are weak to magic but have the greatest spell casters. Bretons are resistant to magic and are second best casters. Its up to you.
