As far as machinimability of Skyrim, there's really no sure fire way to tell until the game, you know, actually comes out. Beth says that the Creation kit will be similar to the ones for Oblivion and Morrowind, so modders will have an easier time learning their way around it. It would also make sense that the devs would mold their engine and scripting language to what they're used to when they used Gamebryo. I'm sure there'll be a command console system, and I hope it's better then the one used for Oblivion. Fallout 3 had better FOV flying camera controls in 3rd person mode and the ability to force poses in the console with "playidle" without fooling with menus. (OBSE 20 brought the command PLAYIDLE, but I haven't figured out how to use it as I'm not a scripter...yet.)
If Skyrim is similar to Oblivion, maybe my personal adventures may help you. I haven't been in the "scene" that long, but I've learned a lot.
I started learning how to machinimate Oblivion almost a year ago when I saw CNiO and KDMD. I saw them and said
"OOOOO I WANNA DO THAT TOOO!!" and fooled around with the mods and techniques they had in their YouTube tutorials.
For about 6 months I learned many new mods and techniques (even taking a list of vanilla/OBSE scripting functions on the CS wiki and tried to see if I could get them to work in console) and learned what editing software to use, what codecs to encode in for YouTube, ect.
That's not even half the battle, because then you'll have to get a script together, film it, edit it, ect, find others to work with you, ect. People will tell you "YEAH I'LL HELP YOU!" and then don't. REALIZE that YOU will be the one doing EVERYTHING. I'm one of the crazy few who finds machinima worthwhile. xD
It's November now, and I have made 3 Oblivion machinima episodes, released episode 1 this past Tuesday, and about to start work on episode 4.
(http://www.youtube.com/user/FedoraRepublic)Honestly, if you want to machinimate Skyrim, my suggestion? LEARN how to use the wiki and mod the game. Learn how to install mods ect, and how to recover your installation if mods funk up your game. Learning how the game works is key in a good production. I think the people behind Oblivion Script Extender is going to make one for Skyrim, so keep an eye out for that. And also,
GOOD LUCK, and don't give up! If you want someone to chat with about machinima and stuff, feel free to PM me.

Its really time to find something better to do with your time. Its just a video game man. machinima films? lol
Where's the
LOVE, man?! Hahaha! xD
WOuld you rather they be throwing boogers at a wall in a Burger King?
