Not really sure what time I should leave to go to the midnight release, either my mom or my bro is coming with me to pickup the game, and I don't want to wait outside in the cold with them too long or they might get mad. But, I got a text yesterday I believe saying "GameStop: Your Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim avail 12:01AM Fri. Arrive 10pm Thu to finalize payment." (I already payed it off, so I'm not sure what time to get there. I live in a city of 50k+ people. When I called them they said there expecting around 100 people to show. I want to know what the best and most convenient time for me to get there would be. Thanks guys, any help is appreciated!

I'm showing up at 11:45. If I have to wait outside for 15 minutes so what?

Yeah, I'm just afraid if I show that late ill be in a huge line of people, also it's 8:30pm here. What time is it there?

I'm showing up at 10pm-10:30pm. Sometimes I wait like 4 hours earlier for midnight releases, but i only want to wait about 2 now.

Maybe just swing by at 10 to get your ticket thing, go home, then come back at 11:59 if you want. You'll have a ticket.

I got the same text, I think Gamestop is trying to avoid everyone trying to trade in/pay at midnight so that lines will move faster. I actually went by around 8 pm and did the trade in/pay off thing, so I am not going back until about 11:30. I also know that there is a shortage of the CE strategy guide, but if I don't get mine tonight, I don't mind, since I wouldn't have looked at it for a while other than tips on crafting.

Hmm, so anyone think 11:00-11:30 will work? The guy I called at GameStop just now said "Anytime around 10, 10:30, 11, 11:30 you should be fine". Kinda worried, not sure which time to go :/

I just drove by my local best buy and it was closed and dark with an empty parking lot... And i was assured by 4 seperate employees that they were doing a midnight release. Not looking very good at this point considering it is a little over an hour to go.

Maybe they will open back up at midnight...?

I'm gonna go around 10. I was at the MW3 release, they gave out wristbands with numbers and had giveaways and stuff. Don't really expect much for Skyrim. Probably not as many people either. I'm just going to go early to make sure.

My EB is doing it where if you preorddered you can show up 10-1130 and get your recipt signed, then at midnight the people with those recipts are in a different lineup and you just hand it over for your game and youre done. If you dont then you get stuck in the normal register line.

Sounds like what yours is doing too.
