dead bodies will at times be stacked on top of each other, which means the ones underneath don't hioghlight, therefore they can't be looted.

Press and hold your activate button.

Hold down your action button for a couple seconds, the same button you use to loot.

Hold down the pick up button (after a second it will start dragging)
Press again to release
