Anyone else using an xbox controller on the PC?

Hey everyone,

I was curious if anyone else was using an Xbox 360 controller with the PC version of the game? I had been going back and forth on which platform to purchase the game for, but I ultimately ended up with the best of both worlds. I tried to play with a mouse and keyboard for about an hour, but I just couldn't do it. I remember the long sessions of Morrowind years ago, and they were not friendly to my body. So, I connected the wireless Microsoft receiver for the controller and have been laying this way ever since. I have to say, it is much easier to navigate the UI and menus, and the combat is much improved. I know that it sounds counterproductive, but I am just more comfortable with the controller. I know, crazy eh? Its even crazier when you consider that I use an Xbox controller when playing FPS, like Battlefield 3. :toughninja:

Oh, as a side note the game runs surprisingly well. I have the game set to 1680x1050, ULTRA, 0 AA, 8AF, maxed out all draw distance, and it runs great. While there are some occasional slowdowns, all in all I am very happy. I cant tell you the frame rate, as I have not yet run a program to track them. I try not to track my FPS, lest I spend the entire evening tweaking my platform. :cryvaultboy:

My system is dated, but here are the specs:

Q6600 OC'd to 3.4GHZ
nVidia 260 GTX 1 GB
4 MB ram

I hope that everyone else is enjoying this fantastic game. Now, I just need to find the time to play it. :celebration:

Yep. I tried KB/M for a while, but prefer the controller. The menu system seems more navigable that way. I'm a PC-only gamer, but I do like the xbox gamepad for several games.

I love the 360 but I recently got a PC and the mouse is way better in first person games. Though I'm going to play the game on both. PC gaming is more exhaustive, since I always lean my elbows on the table.

Trying KB+M now. Not that impressed.

Gonna hook up my controller and hope I can still use keyboard hotkeys, because thats the only thing i'd be missing.

I was also debating about getting this on pc because of the KB+M, so i kinda wanted to get on the fourms to see if u could infact hook a xbox controller to the game. Is it pretty easy to set up the controller? I just barley got a new computer (mainly for Diablo 3 :P ) so its been awhile since i did some pc gaming. Thx
