Desperate?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 12:40 pm

Because the Royal Fail hasn't even bothered to turn up today (so far) and I have work in two hours followed by staying the weekend at my dad's, I'm seriously considering about making a trip to Tesco once I finish work at 11:30 tonight just to pick up a copy for the weekend.

I know my original copy from Amazon will end up arriving whilst I'm at work or tomorrow, but is it worth doing this? I mean, I could just sell my extra copy on so it won't be such a disaster.

I'm just desperate to play the game I guess! Hey, it's not my fault Amazon/Royal Fail have failed to deliver.

Anyone else considering a back-up plan like this?

No. I'm just going to wait, it's only a day.

Might play some TF2/Minecraft/Borderlands.

You don't need backup plans if you avoid preordering games from Amazon.

They delivered 'FIFA 12' on its release date, at 10 in the morning, so I trusted them to do the same with 'Skyrim'.

I guess I was wrong.

Buy a new one then get a refund on the delayed copy, sorted.

Thats not Amazons fault you...not sure what to say, a lot of words comes to mind.
Its the service providers fault, in this case whoever is delivering the mail.

Also, its rather standard that mail arrives from 9-17 during business hours.
Its not THEIR fault that you need to go and work, ON release day, BEFORE, they usually send mail.

So its YOUR fault that you wont be able to play it tonight and tomorrow.
You should have forseen this, taken a few hours off to ensure you are there to pick up your mail dude.

Besides, you can probablys ell skyrim as 2nd hand for around 5 Euro cheaper and have it sold instantly.

PS: If you want games fast, you NEVER preorder. You buy them from stores.
ALL games today have preorder copies in stores the first few weeks. Its just [censored] that you get extra from preordering.

I trusted the largest online store and courier service in the UK to meet their promises and deliver ON the 11th - when they said they would. People like myself pre-order for a reason because maybe we don't have the time or ability to attend a midnight release?

And the mail normally comes between 10-11 where I live so I most certainly would have been around to pick up my mail.

And I'm not 18 yet so buying from a store and collecting it wasn't a viable option!
