No, this is not a Steam rant. I accept Steam, that's fine, but I don't accept it when it wants to download 1 gigabyte of an Update (I've already played an hour, then closed the game to tweak graphic settings), that prevents me from playing. Worst of all, the Steam servers seem totally wacked, means I can't even DL at a good speed.
I woke up this morning to see that Skyrim was finished downloading, and when it started to de-encrypt the game it informed me it would be downloading a 5.5 gigs worth of files.
Windows rebooted my computer last night to install an update, I'm going to guess Steam was in the middle of activating the install at this time and got messed up. Ah well, I'll get to it tonight.
Although I have no clue why it would let you play, then try to download a huge amount of data.
