I was hunting outside of whiterun and getting leather for armor stuff and collecting plants and things. Then all the sudden the Gaurds in the jarls room started attacking me when I went to the keep.

I'm unsure as to what is going on, but the gaurds in the city don't attack me, just in the keep. This is after I accepted the quest from the Jarl's mage. I hope i'm not stuck from doing the main story now.

Maybe they're constipated.

Did you have your weapons out? Some people don't like that, and will attack until you hit R to sheathe your weapon.

I had my weapons put away when I walked into the Jarl's room. They still attacked me, I don't understand what is going on.

I've seen someone else on this forum have a problem similar to this. He claimed to fix it by waiting for about 5 or 6 days before going back into the keep.

Maybe there's a law in Whiterun about hunting game animals in the area? Look around for any postings on the walls or signs?



Kinda like the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood made it a crime to hunt "his" deer?


Just a guess.
