Don't make the mistake

Of confusing complaints about the game with thinking the game is crap.

There are plenty of folks, including myself, who have voiced concern and complaints over bugs, failed implementations of game features such as native control schemes, and other issues that still like the game. There is a difference between outright hatred and disappointment.

Just because we are pointing out problems does not mean we think the game is crap. It just means we're expressing incredulity at how Bethesda has had this game in development for years and has failed to notice the several issues that the PC community has noticed within the first few hours and that we don't think we're wrong in expecting more for our $60.00.

If you have no problems with the game and are loving it in spite of the issues or have found it within yourself to turn a blind eye to these issues, congratulations. I am honestly happy for you. But please don't derail the threads of people with issues and assume that we think the game is crap just because we are pointing out legitimate concerns. The world is not black and white. It's not one extreme or the other. It's not "you love the game if you don't complain" or "you hate the game if you have an issue". The area between the two is much much larger. If you have no issues, please continue exploring Skyrim and stay out of the way of those that do. We want to enjoy it as much as you and to do that, we'd like these concerns addressed by Bethesda.

Alright. But the only problem I had so far was a floating arrow, so idk what the hell everyone's talking about anyway... The menus are fine too, only navigating the perks is kinda annoying. Other than that, game's perfect.

Yup it's a great game, by a long shot.

What bothers me is how certain reviewers spent 1/2 the review going on about how great the game was, and the other 1/2 complaining about bugs.

Because, all the other big ticket games, are so small. Like the minds of their FPS players. Skyrim is massive, and I'm ok with the notion of "oops, didn't notice that in testing"

There is of course going to be bugs in a game this huge and this awesome  and of course they will release a patch soon to fix them so people should just relax and enjoy it. I have no problem with the game.

Thank you soooo much sir, you put it better than I did, I for one do love Skyrim, I am just so annoyed by the fact that it is PC vs Xbox issue because I watch it happen over the last 7 years, yes there are many facets of "hardcoe PC games" that should totally have been simplified, because back then the software didn't exist to showcase things like the physics if a sword fight etc etc so many games got weighed down by masses of text or "shudder" turn based combat. However what I have seen is this loss of building. You make a game, then when you make the sequel you are supposed to try and improve on the old one. BUT WHAT HAVE WE SEEN??? USE YOUR EYES PEOPLE!!! Call of Duty 6? 7? 8? Does anyone even care? No!!! because the general console crowd DOESN'T CARE!!!

Now I know there are many people who play on consoles and do care, and many people on PC who want all games to be pencil and paper D&D with text blocks and dice rolls etc etc... but come on guys....if Half Life 2 can be made out of the original Half Life, then why hasn't every game since then been better, learned, built on ideas!!! WHY DO WE GET SKYRIM IN THIS CONDITION

Also keep in mind there are LOADS of idiots posting on these forums with either non-issues or issues they caused themselves. For example, people criticise the alleged "dumbing down" of Skyrim and at the same time they demand refunds/call the geme broken because they can't figure out that TAB key closes the map window.

For me it's the least buggy Bethesda release since... ever (anyone remembers Buggerfall? ;). It doesn't mean it's BUGLESS, but I am pleasantly surprised that my relatively dated machine can run it without breaking a sweat
