You could use the disc as a Frisbee!! Frisbees are useful!

What use is the map if i cannot play the game? What use is the disc if i have to download the game?

You don't have to download the game; disk install is faster. You purchased the ability to play a game; the disk is a hard-copy of that game. Do you really not understand what you bought?

Frisbee actually sounds more fun than trying to install the game from the disc for 3 hours.

If you are experiencing problems with your disc or your game please feel free to make a thread to explain the problems you are having so we may help you. But a rant just to say it's useless makes the entire topic useless and spam.
