So dragon corpses do disappear

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 12:27 pm

I'm pretty sure I read that the corpses of dragons would remain in the gameworld. Well, after 21 hours of gameplay I finally get my first random dragon encounter. I killed it but I didn't have enough space to loot everything from it, so I fast travelled back to my house to offload some loot. I fast travelled back to where the corpse should have been but it was gone :sadvaultboy:

Dragon corpses like all other corpses dissapear after a set amount of time, this is to ease game loading/rendering.

I see. Do the bones and scales you loot from them actually have any use? I was thinking maybe the scales are used for smithing or something, which is why I wanted them. They weigh 10 each though, and the bones weigh 15.

I think the bones are used to make dragon armor.
