6 hours playing, no crashes. And other reasons why this game

How many patches are there for Oblivion? Not gonna answer that, just gonna set the stage. I have been playing all day and not only have I had no crashes, but I think the UI is quite intuitive and absolutely more than acceptable. I read soooooo many threads here this morning about massive User Interface design failures...Not true..Not true at all. Everything works perfectly for me. The game is majorly stable compared to past Bethesda day one releases ( did you play 6 hours straight with no crashes in Oblivion...ever.. lol with joy !), the UI is fine and fast and responsive. It took me 45 seconds to hotkey my gear and spells. It took me 25 seconds to realize you have to Tab out of most menus. Remember Oblivion? We were hitting the tab key every 10 seconds anyways! It's a big key, right next the movement control ones!! As Todd said, intuitive and logical. Just Tab out of everything!!! Seriously though, Bethesda has set a new bar for themselves in overall quality ( i won't even rant about how good this game looks and plays on my PC ) and overall first day bug-free so far. Wonderful game, wonderful experience to play. I bet most of the people who complained about UI are the same people who complained about the game being dumbed down, lolz to irony! P.S. Bethesda is forgiven for making me put that horrible 3rd party program on my computer.

2 crashes on 11 hours of gameplay, here. That's good for a game that's just out.

Technically, this game works very, very well for me:
1. No stutter or lag whatsoever, despite the stunning graphics
2. Loading time is 1 or 2 seconds. Wow! Same small delay for entering a new area.

But I disagree with you about the interface. It's counter-intuitive and re-mapping the keys to the user's prefence appears to be very problematic.

The UI is fine. The game has been dumbed down to cater to the console players who are confused by a lot of numbers. The big complaint I have is they finnaly nerfed unarmed combat till it is utterly useless. I have played a monk in every Elder Scrolls game except Redguard and only because it was not an option. I am glad I bought this for the PC so the mod community can fix it by makeing it a skill and adding unarmored as a skill aswell. Perhaps they will even be able to bring back stats, that would be nice. I never had any probles play oblivion at launch, one of the lucky few I guess.

This, the irony is delicious.

I have had a grand total of one crash, but I hope it's the last.
